Give this man a Batmobile (and a voice coach) and we're set

I don't know if Pattinson is considered attractive or not, but it's not like he's ugly or anything. He's certainly no uglier than Bale, Affleck or Clooney, but maybe as a straight male I'm not the best barometer for judging that.
ATJ is also always terrible when playing the straight man, the reason he's good in Nocturnal Animals is because he's so off-kilter. So unless this Batman is clinically insane, I'm ready for another boring, milquetoast performance
I thought Reeves said this would be inspired by Se7en? Easily one of my fave films of all time haha
If I'm wrong I'm wrong, but I do think people are stressing out over nothing with this.Honestly, assuming he lands the role, I bet the voice is something he's already gotten down in his screentest with Reeves.
Very very true, my friend haha.I think he’s allowed to find inspiration from more than one movie, lol. Matt said that he listens to “thank god for the rain” from Taxi Driver on loop while writing the script.
Even using Se7en as an example, of Brad pitt’s character is the Batman template, he wasn’t exactly a “straight man” in the traditional sense.

The fact that he's never altered the pitch of his voice in the past is damning, irreversible proof that he is completely incapable of doing it.Who's to say he is going to not change his voice as Bruce Wayne? He is an actor. Reeves know what he does with actors and he has a passion for Batman. Batman with a childish voice we will not get.

If he somehow has that capacity it'll be one hell of a performance for sure.
But I dont think he's that good an actor. It'd have to be a complete 180 from every single performance he's done before as none of them is even remotely like Bruce Wayne. Maybe he can but I'd think that by this point he'd have shown some of that somewhere considering how big he was from 2010 to 2016.
So if he's cast I'll complain till I hear his Bruce Wayne voice. And if it's not good, I'll either watch the movie in spanish dub or I won't watch it. Regardless I think his screen test will end up being another Cilian Murphy or Eion Bailey-makes sense why they'd try him but completely wrong for the part, but they could always put him in another role. Surely there's some villain he'd make interesting
I mean I'm not obligated to like the casting. I'll lose interest till I see a trailer and judge but if anyone asks I'll just say he's wrong for the part lmaoLol you seriously gonna stress out over this for the next year? Imagining his Bruce voice everyday?
Dude.
Ok, I can see people calling him handsome; didn't really see it before but he's certainly a handsome dude. Buuuut... Superman's like the ultimate straight man role, and those things are ATJ's kryptonite. He could be a really good Batman villain though.
We don't even know if Cavill's coming back, but if we're recasting Superman imo Justin Theroux from The Leftovers would be amazing, even if he's getting a bit old. It'd probably only be for one film, but he could be incredible.
See now that I like.Hoult can play Superman if they want to recast Cavill, I think he was on the list earlier.
