Pattinson could be the next Christian Bale, especially since he’s about to work with Nolan. Who would have thought that the Twilight dude would end up becoming one of the best actors of his generation?

The user on awardswatch pretty much just said Aaron Johnson got the role... ugh. I'd take Ben Affleck back at this point, and I didn't like his take on it at all.

Pattinson would be one hell of a pick : he is a great actor, he is different and could put his own unique stamp on it. And cherry on top, almost everybody here would be in agreement here

Yeah, that's the user. Their track record with these things is apparently pretty good.
I don't know, Johnson is so boring, and outside of Nocturnal Animals I've straight-up hated him in most things. Pattinson is an excellent actor. Despite his height, Jack O'Connell could have been great. I just... really don't like ATJ being Batman.

WB should attach the It trailer to their big May tentpole, Detective Pikachu. Speaking of which, that kid from the Get Down playing the human lead could be a pretty good young cyclops tbh...

Too bad. i think he could be excellent ( and especially with Reeves ) we'll have a clear idea anyways when we will have the first footage. For the moment, the question mark remain, who is going to be the bat?

I am straight and a male, so i'm not sure i'm objective, but i find Pattinson somehow weird looking, and at the same time he has this charm. I can say that the guy is handsome in a weird way ahah

I don't know if Pattinson is considered attractive or not, but it's not like he's ugly or anything. He's certainly no uglier than Bale, Affleck or Clooney, but maybe as a straight male I'm not the best barometer for judging that.
ATJ is also always terrible when playing the straight man, the reason he's good in Nocturnal Animals is because he's so off-kilter. So unless this Batman is clinically insane, I'm ready for another boring, milquetoast performance

That or take a page from Keaton’s book and speak in more of a low whisper when he’s got the Cape and Cowl on. I could see that working really well for him.
