It will likely be someone less known whom they could get for a six-film deal. Not a complete unknown, but someone more on Cavill's level, or even on Evans and Hemsworth's level when they were first signed. I don't know if they'd go for a big name like Affleck again.
Well Michael Keaton wasn't so known when he was cast. What did people know him as mostly? Mr Mom?

According to THR, WB is mulling replacing Affleck. That doesn't mean it will happen, but that means fans are already talking about recasting.
*sigh*
I hope Matt Reeves gets Affleck excited and fights to keep him on for The Batman. I really want Reeves to imbue the kind of nuance and heart he imbued on the Apes franchise. And his track record is much better than Snyder's was.
The Flash isn't cancelled. They're developing a script and actively seeking a director.
Just cast a younger guy and put a little gray in his hair, claim he's the same veteran Bats we've had so far, but since the actor is younger he can go on longer than Ben could've.
And then, if you want? Have someone ask him "Wait, aren't you awfully young for your age?" and he can give a deadpan reply along the lines of "Best medicine money can buy. Also, an encounter with a Lazarus Pit."

They've been doing that for years, and lost three directors already. It may not be cancelled, per se, but it sure isn't in healthy development.
If Manganiello's Deathstroke isn't in JL, I'd be fine with him as Batman. It will likely be someone less known whom they could get for a six-film deal. Not a complete unknown, but someone more on Cavill's level, or even on Evans and Hemsworth's level when they were first signed. I don't know if they'd go for a big name like Affleck again.
I thought Manganiello was Deathstroke. Now Deathstroke gets bumped up to Batman?
Cillian Murphy.
I don't know why we're worrying! If anybody here has seen Ed Wood's Plan 9 From Outer Space you'll know that recasting a guy who wears a cape isn't a problem!![]()
