Good article about how Ryan Gosling is one of the few actors who can go toe to toe with Robert Downey in the cool department.

They have to cast someone who can bring alot of charisma to Bruce Wayne. A dark, brooding, and distant Bruce Wayne is not the way to go, and its one of the reasons why Bruce Wayne is almost always overshadowed by villains in Nolan and Burtons films. If you've seen Ryan Gosling in Drive, you know he would knock a soft spoken, charismatic version of Bruce Wayne out of the park

DC needs its own Iron Man, a cool guy who is the life of the party. Henry Cavill's Superman is still too much of a boy scout to be that. So if 1A cant be it then 1B, Batman, has to be that character.

I hope snyder goes for an american/canadian actor. The voice of batman is pretty important to me. Im not a fan of bales take with the voice so i hope whoever gets cast does a descent job of it.

What about that huge jacked man from the Wolverine?

As long as we don't end up with Robert Pattinson.

Michael Fassbender as Bruce/Batman just giving him a big check. I hope it hapeens bit won't.

Whatchu talking aboot combocaz?

Gosling's a good actor, but he honestly doesn't look anything like Bruce Wayne. With that jawline, he'd look ridiculous behind the cowl as well. Just picture it.
:oldrazz:why fassbender is perfect he has a great jawline

Whoever gets the role, they have a big shoes to fill in after Bale.

Oh, come on, we already know DiCaprio has this in the bag!

Ryan Gosling isn't going to do superhero movies.

Hes only talked about all the good super heroes being taken and the commitment they take because people expect multiple sequels.

Batman is now open. He was being respectful to Bale until the role really is up for grabs, whcih is now. He can think whatever he wants, but $30,000,000 per film for 3 movies would change his mind. Johnny Depp will play Captain Jack Sparrow until he dies because of how much Disney pays him. Anybody can be bought.

Fassbender has a great everything.
honestly he ticks everything perfect for new batman

- around henry's age range - only 6 years older
- is very charismatic and charming that he would make a great Bruce Wayne
- as shown in shame he can show darker inner turmoil and shown with magneto he can play a tough bad ass that would be perfect for batman
- has a strong mature look and a square jawline that would look great under the cowl
- isn't super tall like 6'4 where he would tower of Henry him and cavill are around same height
- great actor with tons of range, screen presence, and gravitas
- an actor with a well respected resume with strong indie work like Hunger,Shame,Jane Eyre,A Dangerous Method, upcoming 12 years a slave and has also done big movies like inglorious basterds,x men first class,300,Prometheus,and the upcoming ridley scott film the counselor, etc. that would get the respect of the fan base and the GA

^Fassbender totally isn't going to happen. There is no doubt about that.

Really wish people would quit floating this "Tyler Hoechlin" guy around. Dude has no chance. And from the YouTube clips I saw of Teen Wolf and CSI Miami, he's got no acting chops either.

I agree. Mr. eyebrows. When Superman takes a "peak" through that cowl to see who's behind the mask the first thing he's gonna be shocked by is those bushy eyebrows.

I still think this man has the intensity and subtlety to nail this role. The only concern is the voice and if he wants the role above Luke Skywalker's son. I really don't think the voice will be the problem that people think it's gonna be though....

I just watched Batman (89) on the glorious Blu-ray for the first time. And this whole movie, Keaton is just not even close to how Bruce Wayne looks. And most of the time it's not how he acts either, until the endish where he starts really feeling more like Wayne, like he's digging into it more. But regardless of that, Keaton does it all brilliantly. He was great. He was an out of the box choice. When he put on the cowl he surprised everyone.

This is how I feel about Gosling but kind of the other way around. He doesn't scream Bruce Wayne in looks but I think his build and some hair dye would make him look more like Wayne than Keaton did. Then you have the playboy billionaire. Keaton played it awkward, Gosling would play it just as well as Bale did (check Crazy Stupid Love).

Then there's brooding Bruce. Check his Refn films (Drive, Only God Forgives). Done.

Now, Batman. Nobody thought Keaton could do it. But he always had intensity. Those eyes. Great actor. And he did it. Gosling has that down. He has dynamics which is needed to play a 3 sided character.

Voice? The quieter batman is, the better. Gosling raised his voice higher in Gangster Squad, if he can do that, he can sure as hell lower it a notch or two when he speaks under the cowl.

The casting will be about the screentest, availability in one's schedule, stardom (maybe, depending on what they want), age (between 29 and 34 seems to be the range), intensity as an actor with range.

It's never been about a guy walking into a room built like an ox or having the perfect voice from the cartoon. Actors can work on those things later. Gosling falls under all the categories I listed, but if his schedule is not open or the screentest doesn't work then there's a few other actors who are just as good.

Im just saying, don't underestimate the Gos!

This post is mainly for people who keep doubting him as the Batman.
