out of that list i vote to Matthew Goode, wonder if his Batman would fight like Ozymandias.

if Superman is 33 then I'd want batman to be no older than 36, but have been batman for years before Superman popped up, Maybe year one at 29-31

I'd prefer this too, but I guess we'll see...

Starting to feel Armitage after seeing this photo on his Wikipedia profile. Looks pretty dapper in a Bruce Wayne kind of way:

Oh God... hearing all this Brolin talk makes me very sad. I really do not want him as Batman.

Or Hedlund, unless I want to be bored by Batman for the first time.

But I'm glad to hear Gosling's name being considered.

I like Thomas Jane and I like Matthew Fox a lot, actually.

Matthew Fox can definitely pull off the cowl look. He did great in Speed Racer (abysmal as it was).

^ I think he'd be a good Batman. But he'll be about 50 by the time a JLA movie happens.

Matt Fox is 47

And he got into better shape for alex cross than most of us could ever hope to imagine. I'm not seriously advocating him but people place too much importance on actual age when it just isn't that important on film. Just saying.

True. People play younger or older all the time. That's why it's called ACTING :)

Matthew Fox....can someone manip him as Batman? :

...manips? :D

Before this news came out about these 6 front runners, Richard Armitage was my one and only choice but I thought it was a long shot. Despite being in The Hobbit, he is still relatively unknown.

He has the look, the voice and the charisma to be Bruce Wayne. He also has the skill and the talent to deliver as well.

As a person who has been quietly hoping for news like this, I can honestly say that this is quite a surprise.

So John Thornton, Guy of Gisborne, Lucas North, John Porter and Thorin Oakenshield could potentially be the new Batman.

Though if his pet project Richard III getting start anytime soon then who know.

He is also rumor to be a front runner for the new Doctor for Dr. Who as well.

I mean this is the guy who I root for when I was watching BBC's Robin Hood. But considering how annoying that Robin Hood was it was not hard to root for a bad guy.

I am hopeful but I won't be surprise if he doesn't get it though. But then again Henry Cavill was also my one and only choice for Superman too.

^ I think Fox would do a great job as coming across as broody, angry, compassionate, and subtle as Batman. I wouldn't be opposed to him as Bats. I personally don't mind the concept of a middle aged Batman, though some might.

It's just none of these choice excite me except Gosling. Hell no to Brolin who I just get the wrong vibes from, a big **** NO to Flash Thompson, Richard Armtridge does nothing for me, and Matthew Goode isn't a strong enough actor.

But I am doubting Snyder will go for Gosling. I think Snyder wants to cast a "manly" Batman. Which is why Brolin has a shot.

I mean look at Brolin's face. His only expression is constipated. I like my Batman to have a nice bowel movement kind of face.

So right now, pretty underwhelmed and holding out a lot of hope. At least this is all preliminary.

i think he'd be an awesome Batman.

(probably "too old" though :-/ )

I love Matthew Fox, but his voice his wayy too high for Batman.

Holloway has more Batman qualities imo.

Yes to all of this.

And I'm not OPPOSED to a middle aged or "aging" Batman, I just don't want there to be a HUGE age gap between Superman and Batman. I want them to be close in age. Aging Batman is fine, but we need an older Superman too then, IMO.

I just think if you're only looking at guys 25 to 35 years old you're somewhat shortsighted and seriously limiting your options.

...you name dropping *a**a**.....you did that on purpose didnt you? How dare you try and trick people into thinking that this dumb Brit could actually pull off being batman when in all actual reality he can't because he wouldn't be able to do every single batman role there is to do. Shame on you. *slaps him in the face*

:lmao:

I have to admit, outside of Gosling, that list on THR does not have me excited. I'm hoping someone else will get it that's not on the radar now.
