That is one creepy cover.

Just picked up #676. Awesome. Both original and variant copies plus they gave me the Universe #0 for free. It's been a good day...:hoboj:

Wow what?

That is probably the most distubing, awesome, and *****in drawing of that side of twofaces face and it's not even on twoface. And the fact that it's on Grayson is even more disturbing and interesting. I am in awe...

Sound good.

would someone put up some scans of the interior art? preferably the pages with the joker?

Batman RIP Catch-Up video

not by me btw. And on behalf of Australia I apologise for his accent in advance..........

Thanks alot for that, it sure did explain me alot haha!

They haven't shown the new costumes yet...still the old ones.

The 3 issues of Batman on the island are part of R.I.P even though that video stated otherwise. The whole Black Glove debuts in that storyline.

This isn't going to be another Knightfall is it? I haven't spoiled it for myself 'cause I'm afraid to know.

If it's that Batman goes away then comes back after a year after a big event, that was Knightfall.

You know, that looks more like jason to me, despite the costume.

new interview :word:

IGN: Let's talk about the Club of Villains. In the Club of Heroes arc, one of the heroes suggests that maybe Mayhew started a Club of Villains, but in RIP, it appears like this might be the first gathering of this group.

Morrison: When I created the notes for all these characters, which was when I was doing the work on the "Club of Heroes" arc, I actually imagined what the villains for these characters would be like. I came up with a bunch names and characters and ideas. So I always wanted to bring these characters back. The idea here is that they're not actually the Black Glove. The Black Glove is an organization that will be revealed, and they're actually just being hired as kind of the enforcers. But yeah, it's the first time these characters are being brought together. We created all new characters, and I think some of them are pretty cool.

IGN: Can you walk us through some of their bios? In Club of Heroes, I know we saw Mayhew posing as El Sombrero.

Morrison: Yeah, he's an enemy of El Goucho, the Argentinean hero. The idea is he's the guy you bring in that's smart and super clever at setting up death traps. If you don't have the imagination to set up a really good death trap of your own, then you hire El Sombrero.

IGN: And Scorpiona was referenced in Club of Heroes as well, right?

Morrison: Yeah, she's a super assassin that also takes on El Goucho. We should do a comic about El Goucho, because his enemies are pretty cool. [laughs] She's got a helmet that is basically an articulated robot helmet that has got stingers on it.

IGN: What about the Mime character. He looks like a sicko.

Morrison: He's Pierrot Lunaire, the guy who just commits murder. He's a mime, which I thought was a really funny idea. It's a kind of shade of the Joker archetype that I've taken in another direction. He's just really creepy, this guy. He's like a ghost. He's really autistic and just likes to kill people. And he does it all silently, but he warns you before hand in mime. [laughs]

IGN: So the Black Glove is more of an organization than just one character?

Morrison: Well the whole story is built towards a very big peak, and the big reveal comes in the very last issue. There's a kind of pyramid of influence. At the bottom you have the Club of Villains who are working with the Black Glove. Then you have the Black Glove organization, which is a group of very wealthy people who we meet in the upcoming issue. And then above that you have the identity of the Black Glove, who is a person.

Why am i worried this could turn out to be something cliché where that black girl with red hair turns out to be Black Glove. :(

Jumping in late, just picked up 676 haven't read it yet.

So this whole discussion, is killing Bruce Wayne for real? A rumor to boost sales?

The reason I'm skeptical is that I've been googling Batman RIP and all I'm finding is the wikipedia article about the story and message board discussion. Given the all the hoopla back when Supes "died" you'd think that there would be at least one national news story on it. They learned from the death of supes that they can get people with no interest in comics to pack comic stores and pick up the books as collectors items.

Oh, I'm sure Jezebel is going to be the Black Glove.

I'm suprised no one's really commented on that interview, there's alot of good stuff in there.

RIP is just one small chapter in a much larger Batman novel? wow. okay by me.

He doesn't die, not in the way you talking about at least. Dan Didio has made that directly clear. probably to avoid hysteria or the foul stench of fanboy pressism. RIP stands for something else, hanging up the cape or redefining what "Batman" means, his purpose or who he is, probably something like that.

and to be precise, Batman already "died" for four minutes when he had a heart attack on the roof of the GCPD.

I hate how I never realize how grammatically challenged I am until someone quotes me.

Batman won't die, they tried to make that too obvious to me, something bad is going to happen to him.

My thought is that The Joker will save him because he doesn't want anyone else defeating Batman except himself and he doesn't want any help.
