Batman R.I.P.

It will be revealed in Final Crisis.

That's what pisses me off. Batman is the only DC title I read so when I read #6 I'll probably be like  and since Morrison is writing it and I haven't read any of the previous issues I'll be like this guy [YT]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HY-03vYYAjA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HY-03vYYAjA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/YT]

, but I'll still read the issue when I should have waited for the tpb.

I hate comic book deaths. I recently started reading Superman comics again. I haven't bought one since the whole Doomsday thing years ago. I purchased a Captain America comic book recently to find out he's dead, and now Batman! What is this? Are people running out of material?

Pretty much.

Yeah, because that's the only reason they'd kill a character in a work of fiction, right? Snort.

Actually, the Captain America death has only improved the title, if anything, in my oppinion. I highly doubt it has anything to do with Brubaker running out of ideas.

I'm waitin for the paperback.

and since i work in a comic store my boss keeps tryin to tempt me into readin it.

He said the joker died, but i'm not so sure i believe him, i think some stuff he says he's just makin up to get me to read it. lol.

We see a possible death, but we all know that the Joker won't be gone for long.

Nah; we're not supposed to suspect the Joker died. He survives crap like that all the time. I didn't give it a second thought; it's just there for the sake of humour.

Haven't a bunch of people at DC already confirmed that we'll see him beyond this story anyway? I know I read that they want to try and integrate Morrison's vision of the Joker throughout the DCU...

oh lordy i hope not, there is so much about morrisons take on characters that i hate so much and am really bummed that they want to put it into to other aspects of the universe.

Can't agree with you more. Winter Soldier, Red Menace, and Civil War were great, but The Death of Captain America is second to none. I find it amazing that Steve Rogers has been dead for about 20 or 21 issues and to see the supporting characters carry the book that far and for the book to be better than ever...well done Brubaker.

I love Bucky's mental dialogue of amazed how strong Caps was to throw and catch the shield and if he didn't have his super arm he wouldn't be able to.

also kneecapping.

steve is a supporting character, the book is and has been about bucky even before cap's death

I didn't mind R.I.P., but I think that all the talk about Hurt being The Devil is ridiculous. Did they forget who is writing this? Morrison loves the DC Universe, and no matter what DC says, he considers Sandman to be a part of it.

...it would be awesome to have a bruce wayne batman forever, but bruce unlike most of his peers is just human.sooner or later hes going to retire or die.And even if you like morrisons run or not he showing the human aspect of batman. Before that (minus knightfall) batman was portrayed as an invincible, but at the end of the day hes just human

^A human that could kick the **** out of Superman any day of the week.:woot:

Morrison hardly portrayed Batman as human. He is the Bat-god whos ultimate power is unseen prep-time.

Hm? What are you saying here?

Haha OT but what movie is that? I've seen that head explosion thing everywhere. I need to rent it.

Scanners. Classic Cronenberg film.
