In France, practically never any reaction, never witnessed clapping for like twenty years of going to the movies, chatting? rarely.

But it's back to 170+. I thought 160+was an old number.

Never thought in this day and age that and Batman v Superman movie wouldn't reach a billion

Just like you can't put much stock on everything critics say either.

The hate towards Zack flows through them. If the crane fuom, would have been made by Cameron or Abrams? Or would have been lauded as an entertaining, blockbuster action film. :loco:

Justified I think.

'Batman v Superman' Shatters records with $81.3 million Opening Day For $175M+ Opening Weekend

Now all the speculations surrounding how this Warner Bros tentpole will perform at box office after being panned by the critics has come to an end and Batman v Superman has emerged as a winner.
Biggest Pre-summer Opening Day & Weekend

Batman V Superman posted the biggest pre-summer opening day with $81.3 million beating Furious 7 ($67.4 million).

In order for a movie to hit that billion mark it's gotta be something that a huge number of people will go see for multiple viewings. It also helps to have a large female audience.

Nope. Nothing can justify such hatred.

Hmmm.

How about...

Him saying he made Jimmy a CIA operative who gets shot in the head because he didn't want to use him but wanted to do something "fun" with him?

Or...

Saying the reason he used "Death of Superman" was just because it was a "cool way to get Superman out of the way" so Batman could form the Justice League

I think its justified.

There's a positivity thread for those who want to discuss the film without fearing being bothered because you like it.

Nope. Nothing can justify such hatred.

The only reason a critic would hate a director is if the director's movies feel like a chore to get through. Hence they are judging the director based on his movies - which is fair.

Am I the only one who thinks the idea of positive and skepticism threads incredibly immature and lame

Justified I think.

Folks act like people are obligated to like Zack Snyder.

Snyder has a very distinct directorial style, and that means some people will like it and others will hate it. That's how it is for most directors with a distinct visual style.

Personally Snyder is hit or miss with me. I LOVE Dawn of the Dead, liked 300, and enjoyed Legend of the Guardians more than most. I disliked Watchmen, HATED Sucker Punch, and Man of Steel just left me depressed.

Excellent. Insane numbers.

They're not insane numbers. They are right in line with pretty much everyone's expectations for the last several months if not years. Good news for those who liked the movie and/or want to keep the dceu train going, but nothing to lose ones mind over. Calm yourself.

Looks like it will get $160M minimum, with a possibility of $180 on the higher end.
