In terms of WW gross, if BvS only gets to $850 7 out of 8 HP movies would have grossed more. If it's $900, 5 out of the 8 HP movies.

It's going to depend on how those "maybes" are received. Beasts, Dr. Strange and others could do GotG numbers if they are well received. Us nerds rather like magic and maybe they'll have a Dumbledore mention or shot.

Dumbledore got a mention in the new trailer that dropped.

As a YUGE Potter fan I've been avoiding everything about that movie. I figured they'd do something like that and maybe more. :drl:

A boy wizard outgrosses 2 DC heavyweights... Yeah I see it. :p

What trailer? There was a trailer?

Never mind. Thought you meant Dr. Strange.

"Maybe you should explain where that $120 mil will come from in ONE week. Do you know what diminishing returns are? Use hard data please. Start here: http://deadline.com/2016/04/batman-v...-2-1201729796/

"Posting one of the steepest second weekend drops for a superhero movie ever at -68%, Warner Bros.’ Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice clearly didn’t entice fans back for a second look, pulling in just $52.4M over three days."

I guess you were almost wrong criticizing my prediction that it would make $800 million by the end of this Sunday. I was wrong only by $17 million as it currently is at $783 million WW :)

Whoever decided to release this globally on the same weekend deserves a raise. He or she probably helped make the box office bigger than it is right now.

HP fans are second only to Star Wars fans in terms if their devotion, and they have been starving for anything relating to that universe. If beasts is even remotely good, it will smash BvS.

here in brazil the movie down only 30% and now is the best WB movie in history per ticket saled, and the 3th superheromovie ever behind only the avengers and age of ultron

I don't really have a dog in this fight, but that's funny. Almost wrong generally equals correct. :cwink: I guess you were able to explain the 103 M. Hey, all of us are wrong sometimes with this BO prediction stuff.

Markets like Brazil are why I still think this turkey is gonna make it to $900m. It's also why Michael Bay only eats Faberge eggs for breakfast.

My "crazy fans ranking" is a tie in the top spot for Batman & Star Wars, and then 3rd place far but getting closer, Harry Potter. I honestly thought BvS was gonna kill at the BO because of that, TFA style, or at least make top tier numbers if it were at least mediocre/watchable.

Batman has mostly casual fans, unlike Star Wars and HP, where the fans eat, breathe, and sleep their fandom.

Just go to any Batman related community and tell them "Batman can't defeat X character not even with preparation", or "It's silly how Batman appears out of nowhere/disappears in a blink". It will be your death sentence :oldrazz:

Pretty much the same effect can be achieved telling SW fans crazy claims like "Vader is not the greatest movie villain" or "Bobba Fett is just a costume". That kind of stuff I don't see it (yet) in other fan communities.

Its no coincidence that WB put out a sloppy Suicide Squad trailer in the wake of this film's box office to make it look like everything is fine.

Or tell a HP fan that Voldemort is a bland villain. After looking at the BvS BO, I can see Beasts outdrawing it WW and maybe DOM if it hits the right notes. I have every HP movie and am dying for more, but I'm not a rabid fan........not at all......not even a little bit.......nope......not me. :o

I personally liked the new Suicide Squad trailer, BUT ... Yeah. I also see it as damage control. I've been looking forward to SS, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried.

So ... BvS has been a disappointment, both critically and in the box office. I don't know what WB will do if Suicide Squad is met with the same results. Stay the course? Rage quit? I don't know.

WB will probably just can the Justice League movies and go forth with their Batman movies. Another "Batman Cinematic Universe," if I had to guess.

Based on diminishing returns it'll be 2 or 3 days to get to 800 WW and I have no clue how this will get higher than 875 million....

I'm sticking with my prediction it will settle south of 850.
