This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]511847[/split]
The new opening weekend numbers are $166 M I think which doesn't break HP record for highest WB movie OW.
So those initial reported numbers were false?
Couldn't it just be a harsher Easter drop? The true indication is the coming weekend.
Didn't they basically show the ending in the 2nd trailer anyway?![]()
They meant thisSuperman's death
The smoke and mirrors marketing is well executed. Hope they win awards or at least pay raises for this. Imagine if it had opened with no embargo and no fan screenings
Yeah blockbusters don't open simultaneously in all markets.
BvS was unprecedented in that respect and they got to claim a record because of that rather then it making a ridiculous amount of money
[BLACKOUT]Which they kinda spoiled in the second trailer when they showed Doomsday.[/BLACKOUT]

Now imagine if it had opened as a good movie.

It still made a ton of money though, but the interesting part is how it will continue to draw. Well, interesting to the extent of the very mild interest I have in how much money rich corporations make.
No, they didn't. [BLACKOUT]Nobody figured it was going in that direction because Wonder Woman and Batman were in the fight.[/BLACKOUT]
