I'm surprised and impressed by all the fanart Momoa's Aquaman has received.

Can I say... I finally figured out what's been buzzing in my head to describe Leto's Joker and Robbie's Harley, and that picture clarified it for me...

They are like a live action modern day ANIME interpretation of those characters.

I really fail to understand when people claim he looks nothing like Aquaman... this art along with this emoticon really shows how much he looks like 90's version.

I think that's mostly from people who are unfamiliar of the character - particularly's PD run (which is understandable, DC's hasn't marketed AM, at least not to the extent they have done to other characters. But, things are changing).

I agree. I've really warmed up to the look since it was revealed. It's slowly becoming one of my favorite DCEU costumes.

Yeah, you're probably right. But for someone who is unfamiliar with the character, they are pretty loud when they're claiming that it's not how the character's supposed to be.
I mean, I don't know squat about Avengers, so it would be pretty nonsensical if I were to claim that Hawkeye looks nothing like the character, just because he doesn't wear the purple suit and domino mask I use to associate with him.

Well, black and white (or rather filtered) photo or not, his hair actually looks even lighter as Aquaman, so I'm sure it's not going to be black. And yeah, he has green, or at least hazel eyes.

Because he doesn't. He looks like a version of the character, which is fine, but Aquaman in general looks nothing like how Snyder chose to present him.

In same regard, Batman looks like a version of the character (Frank Miller's), as well. I mean, it has to look like some version, either one or the other... it just happens that they opted to go for one that is less prominent and known. But, aside from tats, he looks very much like Peter David's version.

Has anyone made a Paul Shipper/Drew Struzan-style artwork for BvS? I remember seeing a really talented artist do that for the Nolan Batman trilogy, it looked better than 90% of the actual promotional artwork for the films.

If they have or know someone who has, can someone direct me there?

Someone used a manip to argue that Ezra looks terrible as the Flash, but the manip was bad and I fixed it to prove my point (sorry to whoever made it, but anyone would look bad in that cowl). It ended up good enough so I will post here (and I didn't know there was a bigger version)
