Realism is soooooo 2005, 2008, and 2012

Realism doesn't always = realistic.

Lord of the Rings had realism in that it's human characters would get dirty, bleed and die as one would in the real world. But that series also featured talking trees and ghost armies so it isn't realistic.

The audience already knows that Gotham and Metropolis aren't the real world. They're fictional cities. But they can still have realism whilst also being a place where characters like Killer Croc, Mr. Freeze and The immortal Ra's Al Ghul can exist.

Thank you! It's Alan Cumming. I thought he would be an interesting choice and I think he fits the right age in relation to Bruce's age.
