I think that lenses are best middle ground between "the expressive mask" of comics and the lack of anything over the eyes in movies. Having his eyes be covered by light during a darkly lit scene would give it an eerie "creature-like" quality. A compliment from you is crazy awesome

In a way, it could be almost like the eyeshine in Riddick, but to a much higher degree. The only thing with that though is I don't want the white eyes to flash when Batman blinks - they should be able to stay on without blinking. I do agree that white/glowing eyes in the dark and regular eyes in more lit scenes may be the right compromise. White eyes throughout, even though I'd love to see it, may be too much for the audience to accept.

^ I think pupils keep Batman human. And I think he needs that for a lot of the "non-intimidating" scenes. I like the idea of seeing Batman creep into the shadows, and dissapear momentarily, but for the two lights to come on out of nowhere. I'd also like the eyes to vanish when someone spots them, and for them to chase Batman..and not come back
