The difference is that almost all of the advantages Iron Man has...Hulk either lacks or in fact hampered.

Hulk won't make half of what TDK will make.
Hulk won't be a huge box office movie like TDK, Ironman or Indy, but it's kind of ******ed to say it won't make half of TDK. This Hulk has pretty good hype behind it and looks light years better than the last film. Even if your right and TDK makes 300M half of that would be 150M and if this Hulk movie is as good as it look it will easily hit 150M .

And then some.

LOL, yea. What exactly would we be winning if TDK makes more than IM or vice versa? It's the executives pockets getting fatter, not ours.

Edit: For me, winning is TDK making enough so that WB greenlights another film with Nolan.

Honestly...I like Iron Man...alot. RDJ was great, it had some great action scenes....

but now fanboys are slobbering all over the damn thing because of one excellent performance, some clever dialogue, and fanwanking....now its to the point where if you prefer a movie to iron man, you're obviously biased.

So if TDK just happens to make more just to shut the fanboys up, itd be pretty nice.

Yep. To hell with fanboy-ism. :D

Personally, I think TDK will make 250 million dollars domestically.

^210 - 220M domestically and 150 - 180M International and by the looks of it from the early reviews HULK seems to be shaping up to be what Iron Man was shaping up to be weeks before it came out in cinema. We will have another Marvel success that would be right up there with its brother Iron Man. I'm glad I voted on this poll Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and then TDK in Box Office. I might just be right.

:whatever:

It's universal knowledge = TDK will be solid. Unless there's a catastrophy.
But I'm beginning to hear good things about TIH.
I'm not comparing them though. I believe TDK will be the event we expect.
And I hope TIH will be incredible.

I'm expecting Hulk to be good, and the more I see of it, the more I like. I'm just talking monetarily here. There is NO way Hulk will make more than TDK.

IM was about as deep as Transformers. I mean sure, you can find some serious themes lightly and superficially and simplistically addressed in both of them - but those movies were, in the end, a fantastic, fun, mindless pop corn flick.

no way. there was alot more going on in ironman than transformers. and i wouldnt call it mindless either. there was somereal heart in downey's performance. but i wouldnt call transformers fantastic either.

I remember the reaction on here when weeks before IM was released, some stated it would make $300 mil. They were basically laughed off the boards.

who knew? but im glad iron man made bank. why would any fan of comic books or comic book movies not want them all to do massive numbers? the more money they make the more films we will get. add to that people are stepping up and treating these characters right, its a win win , no?

^Not really. If the CBM is crap and makes alot of money then no, comic book fans won't want the movie to make alot of money.

The only reason why explode7 keeps coming here is because over at the IM boards there's only 7-8 people there. :hehe:

I really don't think people are going to want to go see Hulk 2 - no matter how good it may look. Hulk looked like a kickass action movie as well, remember.

Downey's performance was great, but the movie itself didn't have any more substance than Transformers. Again - they were both fun pop corn flicks and nothing more. Iron Man was far superior, of course.

Even five year old knows that TDK will make more money than The incredible Hulk. General audience just prefers Batman over some green guy who smashes stuff. Plus considering the success of Batman begins, and the failure of The Hulk, it's safe to say that The Dark Knight will be triumphant.

I ain't gonna see it.
Looks pretty lame, and the cgi looks very amatuer.
Edward Norton is so misplaced and lost in the film....

Oh! So you've seen an advanced screening of it, then?

Because that would explain the amount of pretension in your post.

I think the earth just collapsed under the utter impossibility of this statement @_@

Screw the world, they can all burn in hell.
I liked Transformers waaay more than Iron Man.
Tony Stark/Iron Man just isn't an interesting enough character.
Sure he has funny one-liners and all....But really, that's it.
Oh, and he can fly.
Most of the time.

I loved Transformers, and will never forget the first screening of it, it was like being at a rock show, the crowd went nuts!
Not so much with Iron Man, lol.....
