EA Battlefield 3 - Part 2

If you don't like CoD, you should WANT CoD players to enjoy BF3, to show a clear message that CoD doesn't have the monopoly on FPS online multiplayer games.

The community for BF is fine as it is. Don't need an influx of CoDers. There's enough as it is with maps like Op Metro and the inclusion of ur standard TDM.

It's about more than the community, it's about sending the clear message that gamers aren't just sucked in by brand loyalty, that they still judge games on a case by case basis. If BF 3 pulled in a bunch of new players then who knows how many the next BF game could get? You shouldn't let petty dislikes one certain types of games get in the way of your passion for you favourite games.

I have a feeling if a bunch of CoDers started migrating to BF, then the next BF would be more Op Metro and more TDM. Better them just stay on their game.

That's ludicrous. If more people started playing BF, then D.I.C.E. would simply assume they did something right with the BF 3 mp, which they did.

i guess its just a case of getting used to battlefileds way of play, ive always played cod since cod 4(like most cod fans i guess!)...Ive played killzone online and some other fps' but cod always seemed more fun..yeah there are glitches and stuff but battlefield does too...only yesterday i played and some thing exploded on the map and the pieces just hung there floating in space!
I dont get much time to play games being self employed so have to take what time i can get and cod and marvel v capcom fill that well...cos its quick n easy..
I will give battlefield a chance tho as it deserves it..and i had to pay an extra £7.99 to play online cos it was a second hand game!

You aren't the only one to think that way man. I mean a billion ppl play CoD every yr. they've done something right regardless rather or not people like myself find it boring

Just bought the premium pack. Time to start playing this properly!

Really could do with unlocking some basic weapons though. Getting murdered at the moment!

Yeah, I took the plunge on the weekend too. Now I need to make that purchase worth it and play the damn thing.

How much is premium and how much do the dlcs cost? I really have no interest in close quarters so I wanted to know if it'd even be worth getting the premium upgrade.

It costs 4000 MSP! I think there are 5 DLCs but I don't know how much they cost individually/how much the future ones are going to cost. The guys I was playing with said it was definitely worth it if there was any chance I was going to buy all the DLCs as apart from any cost saving you get a lot of fringe benefits like double XP.

All the DLC comes to about $50 which is the price of Premium. You're only saving money if you didn't get the Limited Edition or pay for B2K. So I guess if you want to get all the DLC anyway may as well pay for Premium to get early access and some unique customization items?

Here it costs 70$. That's more than a new game. :whatever:

Ah yea i got ya. I was planning on getting all the DLC minus this first pack. But maybe with the other benefits ill come out on top.

lmao, that's EA for ya.

I haven't really looked into it but I remember 2 week early access, a special knife and some dog tags. Premium is pretty much much just a glorified season pass.

Blech. I need to do the math, prob be better off just getting the DLCs i want. Theres what, 4 more? At 15 bux a pop, so 60 bux and Premium is what 50? Damn, maybe premium is the way to go.

I really enjoyed the other day. Think the 1st time I tried the MP when the game was released I was solo. And given the size of the map I was playing on and my lack of skill, experience & unlocks getting me killed as soon as I'd spent 5 minutes getting to the action, not a very productive experience. Been waiting for all the guys I play other MP games with to be ready for this and it's on now. As enjoyable as Battlefield Bad Company 2, probably my most fun MP experience alongside Gears games (when no lag).

Pretty sure I've played this multiplayer more hours than any other game I've ever owned. It's just too addicting.

Premium is worth it if you plan on playing this for a while.

Yea this game is deff one ya want to squad up for. SOOO much more fun. You'd also be amazed at how much damage one good squad is capable of.

I don't even own a mic and the game is still fun. Lol. It's way more intense than call of duty I've noticed, and unlike cod, I don't feel cheated when I die. Bf3 is quite a bit more tactical, and I like that. But it's true that cod is easier to just sit down and play than battlefield, where you have to have a good amount of free time to really have a great time

Anyway, how are the new maps?

I'm definitely going for that Rank 45 thing. That will take ages I guess, especially for me.

I love that you can have so many people from your friends list in the same game and even in the same place/objective at the same time. Would love to have 2 full squads every time I played this (not realistic).

You have premium, correct? You'll be there in no time. Literally. There are double XP events for premium users every day it seems.

Play Close Quarters (max tickets) too. You'll easily get anywhere from 40,000 to 100,000 a game. It's ridiculous. I wish they would add more ranks. :o

Premium is worth it, they give u exclusive items, maps early, double point weekends turn into a double point weeks.

Yes just got it. Damn in that case I will have to focus on getting & maxing out all the different ribbons. There are 100 ranks right? I saw a couple of guys at 100 in one of the games I was in.

Yup, it's so awesome. I still get that sinking feeling in my stomach when I'm in a building and I see a tank roll up lol. I haven't played in a while coz I hate 90% of the jackasses who rent servers and make idiotic rules. But maaaan I do miss Rush matches, sneaking around with a silenced SKS on my own behind enemy lines while fighting rages on in the distance.

145 actually, I think hahah.
