Good luck.

Some info from this thread : http://www.therpf.com/f24/sherlock-bbc-coat-anyone-found-93090/

Gonna be a hard one to track down - it's a Belstaff Milford coat from 2007, now out of production. Also, cost £1000! Ouch!

Although this article seems to contradict the 2007 line:

Hope that helps!
Coz.

January 1st in the UK?

I'll watch them on youtube when they hit as I did the last season.

Good return. Mystery wasn't up to much but as a character study, it was arguably the show's finest hour.

Loved the little nod to the old Basil Rathbone films with the hats :funny:

Hounds of the Baskervilles next week... can't wait- a personal favourite of mine

Best episode they've done. Enjoyed every minute of that!

If I've got one teensy complaint, it's that the way they resolved series 1's cliffhanger was a bit underwhelming. But somewhat lacking resolutions to badass cliffhangers is sort of Moffats only real failing as a writer...

New episode had a little bit of a shacky start for me but I loved the rest. It felt like they had writen themself into a courner and so it was all defused a little too awkwardly.

The only thing i'm peeved at is we get just 3 episodes.

It falls into the cliche of a British show

Britta: “They only ran six episodes. That’s the greatest thing about British TV, they give you closure.”

But I realize Cumberbatch and Freeman are both busy. Both are doing "The Hobbit" and Cumberbatch is was doing "War Horse"

This was such an awesome episode. Lara Pulver who played Adler was just so good. Want to see more of her in this role but Adler is only one of the Doyle novels so probably not.

At first I thought it was just Doctor Who, now I'm beginning to see that Moffat just enjoys that whole "the escape is not as complex as you imagine" in his writing. How the Doctor escapes the Pandorica, the suit, ...etc.

I was taken aback by Jim's second apperance since I just sort of shrugged off the whole poolside incident like the episode seemed to.

Overall I still enjoyed it all though.

Sometimes the easiest answers are the best ones though. If you go ridiculously complex, the plot becomes contrived.

At any rate, I enjoyed it a lot. Bring on the hounds!

Great episode.

Irene Adler was hot and a good femme fatale.

It was so badass when Sherlock
tossed the CIA Agent out the window. You don't mess with Miss Hudson

I still hate the hammy Moriaty in this. Not a fan of his quirky portrayal.

Enjoyed every minute of this, and my ain't Lara Pulver sexy? Rachel McAdams' Irene Adler just doesn't compare!!!!

Think I'll go back and rewatch Series 1 before The Hounds premieres.

Loved it. The casting is just fabulous.
Even Moriarty wasn't so bad this episode, I like his ready to explode at any minute personality that's been developed.

Each episode has a running time of 90 minutes which is comparable to the running time of a film. Three episodes is acceptable for the length and quality of each episode.

How long is the running time in the states with added adverts?

A normal "Hour long" show in the states is actually more like 42mins. So that means for a normal show each episode is about half of Sherlock. That makes Sherlock's 3 episodes the same as 6 standard US shows, witch is about normal for UK shows even if it is REALLY annyoing(!)

Just watched the new episode. This one felt more like a full-on movie, whereas the previous three felt like really long tv-episodes. A great improvement!

I thought it was a pretty incredible episode. And Pulver.....wow.

I thought the best part was actually where Sherlock solves the case just by sending Watson with a laptop to the crime scene.

I'm still impressed by how well the show uses modern technology.

Though one thing puzzles me, who was the royal family member with Adler?

It wasn't explicitly stated, though it was made clear that the client was female. So probably either Princess Anne or one of the granddaughters like Eugenie or Beatrice.

I love how Sherlock gets his **** together at the end... brilliant...

this show is so much better than the films

I personally like both. They're just both very different takes on the character. With the last Sherlock film, I viewed it as a Indiana Jones version of Sherlock Holmes (actually, I felt it was a better Indiana Jones style movie then the last Indy flick itself).

This show is truer to the books in some aspects, though I think they push Holmes to be a bit darker then he is in the stories and novels, though I like it quite a bit. But I don't really think it's fair to compare the films to the TV series, since they're both aiming to be different kinds of shows. Oddly enough however, I would have expected the film's Moriarty to be the kind they displayed in the show, and in many ways I enjoyed Harris' take on Moriarty more, though the BBC take is beginning to grow on me. Definitely an interesting way to display Moriarty.

One thing that this show got me thinking about (though I know it would never happen) would be to see an interaction with Cumberbatch's Holmes and Hugh Laurie's House. It would certainly be fun to watch.

Shame Cumberbatch's star is rising so the likelyhood of him as a patient is zero.

He could play the patient that is as smart as House.
