Ben Affleck IS Bruce Wayne/Batman - Part 1

Nah, there is no conspiracies against other studios. The quicker we put that to rest the better. If Live by Night isn't doing great with the reviews so far, it means it failed to connect with those critics to some extent. I really don't think any critic went in wanting to hate on the movie beforehand.

Thank you. The notion of "critic conspiracies" is one of the most absurd and pathetic things I've read on this website in quite some time.

Ever since Rogue One is out, every film is getting horrible, horrible reviews. I mean really bad. Passengers, Collateral Beauty, Live by Night, Assasins creed, you name it. Probably a coincidence, and maybe all these movies are bad, but makes you think.

Ive noticed recently how most movies nowawadays are being judged very binarily. Either they are the best thing ever, or the worst thing ever. Either a 9/10 or a 3/10. Makes no sense to me.

Thought the Accountant would suck too because of bad reviews. That didnt happen. And critics cant seem to properly agree on or articulate what was so bad about Live by Night. Maybe it lacked zing. But I'll judge it when I see it.

Or, it could simply be that no one wanted to compete with a Star Wars movie, so they only bothered to release movies they knew were terrible and would fail.

Very much possible. But I doubt Affleck would make a movie like that. Could just be it didnt sit right by the critics. But like I said, I will reserve judgement till I see it. Dont trust these unprofessional critics nowadays, disagree with their assesment way too much.

Agreed. It only said by fans in denial that movies they like are so hated lol.

Lol some people on the internet are fools. Every damn director will have a dud in his career. Kubrick has it, Hitchcock has it, Spielberg has it etc. What makes fanboys think Affleck wouldn't have one? LMAO!

Especially because they have started to become more than a little hyperbolic as of late.

Indeed. Martin Campbell: Casino Royale and Green Lantern. JJ Abrams: The Force Awakens and Star Trek Into Darkness. George Lucas: three good movies and three pieces of crap.

It is true that making a bad movie does not mean Affleck is a bad director or take away from him making good movies before, but it is understandable that fans would be more confident about his Batman movie if he started making it coming off the back of a good movie that was well-received from him.

Every director has the occasional dud, and I'd much rather it be Live By Night than The Batman

JJ didn't direct cloverfield..... and I love that movie lol.

Dude I gave Kubrick, Hitchcock and Spielberg as examples. You really didn't need to add the likes of Campbell, Abrams and Lucas to emphasise the point.

Thats right he produced it didn't he? Then just indy for me lol.

Directed by Matt Reeves. I found it underwhelming (and I'm a kaiju/giant monster fan). But Matt's since done these last two Apes movies. Dawn rocked, and I expect War will.

True, but regardless, from what I've heard, Batfans are having a meltdown over it on Twitter.

Meltdown over what? That a director has seemingly made a bad movie? These idiots are aware that every director has them right?

We don't know if it's a "bad" movie. It could be an "alright" movie — which , apparently, isn't good enough for some people.

Logic is thrown out the window with that portion of the fanbase, so it's not really surprising.

I remember when The Dark Knight Rises came out how some fans started to shun Nolan.

Freaking out about a film that hasn't even started shooting? Never change Batfans. Embrace the cray cray. Let it flow through you.

Cray cray Batfans just make me seem all the more wise and considered. I'm like a drink of water in a barren desert.

Unfortunately today an alright movie seems to get thrown into the bad pile way too often. I started mistrusting critics when they liked Thor ans Cinderella.

I'd like to post my favourite Batman Christmas related thing on here. Happy holiday's ya filthy animals.
