Ben Affleck IS Bruce Wayne/Batman - Part 1

With a good teen (or person who looks like a teen) performance the nipple suit could have been overlooked.

I don't think Robin is excluded from being played by adults, you just can't cast a person who looks like a full grown man and try to play him off as getting adopted by Bruce who is supposed to be an angsty teen and is like one.

I agree. :oldrazz:

Personally my origin for Dick Grayson as Robin for this universe would be that his parents were murdered when he is 12 and instead of Bruce taking him on as his ward (he would be smart enough to realize he would have no time to raise a child between being Batman and running Wayne Enterprises unless he intends to bring him into crime fighting which he wouldn't initially intend to do) he donates some money and pulls some strings to place him in a good home, but Dick runs away and does so for every home he is placed in preferring instead to pursue vengeance for his parents death on the streets. This quest would take place over a year where he'd be homeless and chasing down leads that would usually end in dead ends but would put him into Batman's path often enough for them to develop a relationship. Their relationship would be antagonistic at first as Bruce would just keep taking him back but after a the first few times that doesn't work he decides to change his tactics and just help him out however he can by giving him basic pointers on combat that would prevent him from getting killed, giving him money for food, putting him up at hotels and offering him guidance wherever possible developing a friendship between Batman and Dick. At 13 he'd manage to actually get a real lead and gets in over his head quickly despite the fighting skills he had acquired from his time living on the streets combined which he had combined with his gymnastic ability and Batman is forced to rescue him; but he surprises Bruce by helping him out with skills in a couple of tight spots. Recognizing that he won't stop and seeing potential Bruce decides to take him into the fold on the condition that he can only join him in the field when he deems him ready after 3 years of intense training (during which he was still impatient and would often go off on his own with his training often having saved his life) he begins to bring him along as reconnaissance at 15 and gradually integrates him into a fighting role as he gets older.

That would be nice mate. But it's a bit too long of an arc for WB to put it in a Batman's movie, at least with how the universe is progressing right now.

Plus it would require a younger Ben Affleck, but I guess they can manage it with make up and CG.

That wouldn't really be an arc that would be explored though, that would be the story he'd tell of how he got into the hero business and became Robin if anyone like Damian, Tim, or Victor ask (a paraphrased version).

If that were be the Arc in a film trilogy where we start at the beginning of his career then I'd do the flying Grayson's death at the end of the first one, then the one year time skip in between films would allow to get to the exciting part and speed up him becoming Robin which he'd become by the end of the second one (starting the training at least) and then the third would be 2 or 3 years later after he has completed his training and is now in the field.

Wow, bunch of posts deleted, huh?? Oh well...

Also, they can make Patrick Stewart, Michael Douglas and Carrie Fisher looks DECADES younger...Affleck looks pretty good for his age, all he needs is a little make up and a different wig.

Yeah I mean, he looked a good few years younger in the Accountant than in BvS. He could just get a little leaner, clean shaved, makeup for the eyes, dye his hair jet black and he's good to go.

Precisely, which is the reason why I see no problem with him playing the character for another, say, 10 years (if he wanted to); we all know that (most) movie stars don't age like "normal" people (I've had this life-long theory that if you work doing what you love, you age slower, but that's for another time), we have Keanu at 52 kicking all kinds of a$$ in John Wick and Stuntfleck does most of the action parts of Batman. Even tho originally I was against going with an older Batman simply because of connected universe longevity, I surely hope Affleck sticks around for a while.

As do I. and he doesn't need to keep in incredible shape. As Bruce Wayne he wears tuxedos and suits and as Batman he has a muscle suit. So he just needs to stay relatively thin and it'll pass. Plus, by the looks of things with BvS, he rarely does any of his own stunts so that shouldn't worry him either.

Yeap, he naturally has the frame, so as long as he keeps in relative good shape and keeps the body fat % in check, he should be able to look the part for a long time, so let's cross fingers.

hmmm this is probably my favorite track from the film. So epic.

This is my world, the red capes are coming and must there be a superman are my favorites.

I love the villainous violins

Have you guys seen this? Or is this offtopic here?

^check the batman thread, we discussed it for about 2 pages :yay:

The first two minutes of this one, is THE BATMAN THEME.

My favourite Batman theme, ever. Wow, this hits all the right feels. You hear this, and you feel all his pain, his loss, his anger, his everything. This encapsulates Batman.

Just wow.

No, thanks. :oldrazz:

Basically, I posted something similar before this "news" came out, that Chris Terrio was brought in by Ben Affleck as the original script written by Ben and Geoff Johns was not satisfactory.

Kroll confirms that Terrio has rewritten certain parts of it and submitted the script to WB, and WB execs are happy with it, and he's 100 % reliable source.

Now, a new director who gets hired may (or may not) want to change some parts of it again, which is not unusual.

So Batman didn't have a track all his own like Supes and Wondy? That's probably how I kept missing what his theme was.
