Yup. Definitely Noël-inspired.

By the way it seems that all those seemingly unnecessary cavities and lines (as well as plates on the abs) on the regular batsuit have the purpose of providing recess for additional armor to be attached to. It doesn't make the regular batsuit look any better, but at least there is some sort of justification for those.

I dig the cowl. It's really different for a live action take. Beyond that, I can't quite explain why I like it. I just do.

It is the angularity of pecs and shoulders that remind me of it quite a bit. Then again, I suppose that any angular-looking batsuit would share basic similarity with "Noël" one.

I guess I can see it but it's not a significant similarity. This suit, to me at least, looks like a weird mash-up of the Arkham Knight and Arkham Origins suits with goggles added. I'm not in a hurry to see a lot of it in action, to be honest, but I'm not bothered either.

Well, official explanation is that I've been quite busy, so I decided to significantly cut the time spent on boards and internet altogether. The fact that it was mostly the same old discussions happening all over again in this place made it easier for me to do so.

You have a point, I can definitely see "Arkham Knight" and "Origins" batsuit here, though it certainly looks much better to me than AK one. Actually, I've been looking at this suit for a while now and I am surprised by how much I'm not hating it. I've never been much of a fan of armored batsuits, so I'll never love something like this, but I don't dislike it nowhere near as I did the bulky mech-suit from BvS.

I suppose there is also the fact that more tactical/armored batsuits bother me less when Batman is in Justice League, since, as I already said once, his MO changes a bit when working with League and I view the character somewhat differently. In the solo I hope for the organic, bestial aesthetic akin to BvS batsuit, when in Gotham I want to see him prey upon his enemies from the shadows in all its glory, but in JL I always saw him more as a straight up warrior than a beast from urban legends.

True, I've read that this suit's pretty much his military suit hence its name, so it's nice to see Bruce being mindful of his changing situations and tweaking his tech and suits for whatever situation that is. I understand it but I won't always like it.

I hope so too. Though on that note, I have to say, the tweaks of the weird bit of armor on the outside of the main suit (which as I look at it more closely seems to be where the protective pads of the tactical suit connect to) have made it look less organic, unfortunately.

I kinda suspected as much. Also plenty of good posters that used to provide interesting discussions have been missing (like rapunzel, roach, dhandler, etc.) so that partially affected my decision to leave too. Matter of fact, I haven't seen you much in previous months as well. Anyway, I am not here to stay, I really am quite busy, so I'll mostly pop up here and there.

On some level I do like the fact that Bats has these specialized batsuits for more extreme situations, as it shows resourcefulness and is in line with comics. Also it makes sense when fighting beings such are parademons. Still, I get what you mean, I never liked the concept of noticeably armored Batman.

This suit looks like a slightly less exaggerated night owl. The ears flare out and everything, and don't curve the way the silhouette does in the comics, movies, or hell the film prior to this.

And those oakley goggle sun glass lenses look just beyond stupid.

I am not a big fan of this new tactical suit but the bolded's gotta be hyperbole at maximum level, no way this new suit is even close to the puzzle mounstrosity that was the Nolan suit.

Oh, I don't expect them to return to the BvS suit itself (especially not the thicker cowl, though I think I prefer it to JL one), but I don't think that something similar to it (which is to say less armored and more organic looking) is out of the realm of possibility. If Affleck goes for noirish, slightly more gothic aesthetic with the Batman solo, such suit should be a natural extension of this approach.

I mean, that's a lot of years wearing the same suit. It's held up but it's also a bit damaged. After all he's been through, it's not odd for him to want to change his suit. I just don't see him changing it to resemble more of the same suit.
