Ben Affleck IS Bruce Wayne/Batman

don't know why but the first thing i thought of was George Clooney.

First thing I thought of when I saw the picture.

Thats fine, but there are so many aesthetic differences it just seems like serious hyperbole to claim they look exactly alike. The ears and goggles are relatively similar. That's about it.

Thought I was crazy. I don't even find the ears similar. But everyone keeps mentioning it, so I figured I'd just concede on that point.
He looks nothing like Nite Owl without the goggles. But that's the internet for you.

That's the internet for ya. He wears similar goggles and suddenly the whole costume looks 100% like Nite Owl's.

Not only that, people act like this is his definitive costume. It was clearly stated that he wears the costume for a specific purpose in the third act of the movie. I really don't see the problem here.

How else would the cbm fandom keep their cliche reputation? We must overreact! :sly:

Same here. It's a combination of the chin, the expression lines around the mouth and the lighting...

....or is it the nipples??? :sly:

Polux

How is it lazy? Who was lazy in the process? They probably spent hours upon hours looking at different designs before agreeing upon this one.

Fantastic choice. Making Batman look unimpressive takes a special talent.

How dare I not like something. The nerve! :funny:

It's fine to not like something. No one is talking about that. We're just talking about the hyperbolic, sky is falling reactions some people have had. As if this is the only costume Batman will ever wear again, despite being told it was a special use costume and despite being told the goggles were just for piloting. We're also talking about the ridiculous Night Owl comparisons when the character, sans goggles, looks nothing like Night Owl. And it's even stranger, because people claimed Night Owl looked like Batman around the time of the Watchmen film.

That doesn't really answer the question of how it's lazy.

The attention to detail on all Wilkinson/Snyder suits is amazing. Whether you like the designs or not is a different matter. But to call them lazy...

The fact that the goggles are mere accessories for piloting as was stated, I don't even really like to say that their presence is meaningful enough to compare the entire ensemble of the suit to Night Owl II's. It'll be like saying this suit looked like Captain America's suit from Winter Soldier, simply because Batman has the shield for example.

Agreed. Tony Stark can wear sunglasses, but that doesn't make him Matt Murdock.

I think part of the reason for all these Nite-Owl comparisons is the lighting. The image is weirdly lighted by the sparks and whatever is on the right side, giving it a warm yellow light, hence making the entire suit itself yellowish, which is really similar to the brown-ish gold color that Nite-Owl sports. I bet if this was under normal lighting, where you see the grey and black like the BvS and the JL group shot pics, no one would even think Nite-Owl apart from the goggles.

That sounds pretty logical. Why in the world are you bringing logic into this?

Yep. I said the same thing over on the Batsuit thread.
