It all doesn't really matter. We're all in this for the ride no matter what levels of bad or good we'll enter. It makes it satisfyingly weird for me to witness this stuff with you guys haha.

For sure clickbait sites will definitely miss it.

The continuing adventures of Punisher-Man.

Snyder was the first person who came to mind and it should have been everybody else's as well, just because of the pattern of events. I don't think Snyder will do it, only in a powerplay situation but I'd bet he'd be involved in some way or another.

definitely was for me.

After seeing Watchmen for the first time many many years back, the first thing I said to one of my friends was "This guy should be directing Batman."

Now that was before all that has happened, but it would still look cool and I'm willing to bet that it would be a lot closer in terms of tone to Watchmen than BvS. And I'm all for it at this point.

Rebooting isn't gonna help jack ****. It's not the solution anymore. Especially for WB. The word rebooting is thrown around too much now. Like it's some magical thing. We're in an age where a reboot doesn't mean we're gonna get a BB or CR or ST09.

Was about to ask what CR is, but, just guessing now that CR is Casino Royale?

I'm all for rebooting the people in charge of DC/WB.

If we're not allowed to make fun of "Marthaaaaa!" can I make fun of how Lex's dialogue was made up of desperate pitches for T-shirts at Hot Topic?:oldrazz:

Come to think of it, remember when Ben was jacked up and angry over the fact that Kevin Tsujihara came out and said he would direct the Batman? I think it all snowballed out of control over that. Once the cat is out of that bag, I bet communications soured and this is what you end up with when negotiations and plans with a director aren't even set in stone before publicly outing things.

yup, Tsujihara jumping the gun probably started all of this I'm also willing to bet. Ben probably didn't even want them to officially announce a Batman solo until he turned in a script, but obviously WB got worried and felt they had to do something.

And let's not forget the grand turning point in the whole movie... the crowning turd in the water pipe... the thing around which the entire movie pivots... the most important line of dialogue in the whole debacle...

'Martha'.

I'm blanking on his name, but one of the hosts of Collider Heroes made a fair point.

Geoff Johns is an acclaimed comics guy, but he doesn't have much experience as a hands-on producer on major film productions. Kevin Feige, while being a comics guy in his own right, had experience producing Marvel films long before the MCU started. He knew what worked and what didn't, and took that knowledge into building the MCU. This could be a situation where Geoff Johns is out of his depth here, because he simply lacks the experience needed to do what's being asked of him.

WB needs an experienced, creative producer to guide this franchise. Geoff Johns alone doesn't cut it.

This movie is ****ing easy to write. Just do a trapped in Arkham story and everyone's happy. Keep Leto on a tight leash and give him the opportunity to change everyone's minds.

Deathstroke doesn't belong in this movie. There are so many other more exciting options than using Slade as the main villain.

Make it a combination of Morrison's ASHOSE and the first Arkham game. That'd be a slam dunk, the blueprint already exists.

Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski. That's all WB needs to hire in the producer chair.

Salivating.

I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to hate WB and their incompetence. This shouldn't be that hard. It's sad when the animated shows are so superior to 200m+ films.

If Snyder directs, maybe we'll get that prison rape scene after all.

You do know thats not what he meant right? He was talking about Watchmen in the interview, promoting Watchmen. When he says"that could happen in my movie" he means Watchmen. Rape nearly happens in Watchmen. All he said was Batman as a character is not dark, but cool. A story like Watchmen is dark, and if Bruce existed in the Watchmen universe, that could happen to him.

I get so frustated that this quote gets used around without context so much.

Johns is not alone. He has Berg with him. That guy is a film guy, not a comicbook guy.

It's a joke, idiot09. Nothing more. :funny:

So listening to Shnepp, he just blew my mind into the Armie Hammer thing and got me thinking. What Armie isn't Green Lantern, but Batman? Since Ben is an older Batman and we haven't really seen the tie in to the Joker killing Robin in BvS, what if Armie plays a younger Batman in the whole shoot? This might be crazy thinking but Armie was seen hanging out with Joe M and ties to some of the Batman's actors attached to the project.

Wacky thinking, I know but man, everything is on the table right now.

 Sorry bro. I have seen so many people actually think thats what he meant. Sorry for jumping the gun!

This is DC. No ****ing jokes allowed. :o

If Ben were leaving the Batman role alone, it would've said so days ago when it was announced that he wasn't directing anymore. WB isn't going to let Ben mull around if he wants to star in Batman or not then decide last minute he's not going to star. That's not how things work especially if Ben wants to work with the studio in the future.

That'd be more promising, but how much baggage would Bruce Timm have on his shoulders due to The Killing Joke, I wonder.
