For once I wouldn't mind if they changed Warren's nationality and just make him British. He and Betsy's subplot could be that they were a couple until he was taken to the dark side, and then she subsequently became a victim of Apocalypse because of him... both being turned into the leaders of the horsemen.

I wouldn't mind if he joins Apocalypse first, then at the end joins the X-Men as Angel when Apocalypse is defeated (or still as a suffering Archangel if they want to do another film with Apocalypse as villain). Then explore the character more in future films

I think it's also that the wings somewhat look like they are connected to/part of the uniform. If there was a clear distinction between what was just outfit and what was actually wings, I would likely feel that this was better.

I have a small worry (cause even though it might look like it, there's no way that this is what they'd do - right?) that the wings are not "living" or organic metal if you will. Meaning, due to how the outfit seems to be somewhat mechanized in the same way as the wings, it almost looks like it's not Warren's body connected to the wings as much as it's an external add-on that could be removed.

Again, I'm sure that that is not the case, cause that would be terrible. I don't believe, or at least hope that they wouldn't just have him with wing "humerus"es extending from his back that connects to a removeable wing system, right?

It was better to set Apocalypse in present, in this fact, not any error continuity about Angel

However, as Ian Mckellen will be there, I continue to suggest there will be some scene in present

Who knows. In X3, the wings seem capable of growing back once clipped. Apocalypse will probably offer to give his wings back regardless. If it was just attached to a suit Vulture-style, he could probably just give the suit to any human, which would obviously be out of character. I don't think they'd go that route.

Well, my fear was/is that he will lose his wings somehow, though the "wing bones", or whatever you want to call them, that protrude from his back, will still be there and that this suit/wing system connects to them. That way only Warren could be Archangel (plus his bones are supposed to be lighter/hollow, like a bird).

I would hate it if they made the wings either part of the suit or removeable!

They may indeed connectable metal wings since one concept picture is without the wings so they must have wanted to know what was connecting them

But presumbaly they connect to his body so he can control them as if he would his own wings

That's where my fear of this type of stupidity comes from, but my hope is that the second conceptual art piece was to be able to show the back of the arms for costuming purposes.

The wings look pretty cool IMO but it does look a little like something he could take on and off. In the X2 concept art JEM posted the wings are directly attached to his back/spine.

Right now i'm reminded of the harness Hugh Jackman wore in The Prestige.

With Apocalypse, Mystique and Nightcrawler being different shades of blue i wonder if Archangel will be blue too.If the filmmakers insist on not making him blue/purple i hope that his skin will at least be pale with cold "dead" looking eyes to match.

LOL I barely noticed the Sarah McLachlan lyrics. I couldn't read between the lines with that physique!

I hope he looks closer to the 3rd, 5th, and 6th pics. He'd have to look sort of lean (with not much body fat) to be able to fly.
