Apocalypse Ben Hardy Joins the Cast of ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ - Part 1

In my opinion, since Archangel is the most famous horseman of Apocalypse from the comics, and he was also adapted as a horseman of Apocalypse in the 90s cartoons and X-Men Legends II, they just included him in the movie even if they didn't intend to develop him because the X-Men movie always have to be about Magneto, Prof X and the lead villain.

In hindsight, they should have replaced him and Psylocke with d-list characters such as Gazer and Plague.

Bryan says the angel transformation to archangel scene is inspired by the transformation scene in American werewolf in london, its incredibly graphic and painful

For those who saw it, how was Warren as a character in this pre Archangel? Can he be an X-Men in another film?

He was a bit moody and a bit high I guess. but when he was fighting with Nightcrawler, he gave Kurt an advice to move around and attack or else, the guards are gonna shoot him. Then in his hide out, he was drinking and yelled when Apocalypse, Storm and Psylocke entered his hide out... then Apocalypse just suddenly gave him a 2nd set of wings, like you can see wing bones coming out of his back then it all became metal. After that, he's with Apocalypse all the way.

And unlike Psylocke, we didn't see him go away alive. His last shot, he was down and could easily be dead and Apocalypse called him useless.

yeah he had more personality then i expected with my low expectations of him but not to incredible degrees

nightcrawler refused to fight so angel said if he didn't fight they would both be killed

when apocalypse finds him he is drunk and angry, ben hardy kept his british accent i think and he did a good job compared to all the worry some had about him

Wait, [BLACKOUT]Warren dies :cmad:[/BLACKOUT]?

Its not clear.

The last shot of him, he was badly wounded and unconscious and half of his body was covered by the debris from the jet.

I hope he's not dead. Apocalypse was right though, he's useless, the weakest of the 4 Horsemen

Which is stupid. Archangel in the comics is a better villain then Apocalypse though decades of stories. [BLACKOUT]Fox is shooting themselves in the foot by killing off both these two. Not to mention Warren is an original and important X-Men alone. We were already let down with his representation in X3. They are just repeating the same mistakes. [/BLACKOUT]

Actually Angel and Psylocke would have been better if they gave them more action, a lot of fights in the climax are mostly 1 on 1

Beast vs Psylocke
Nightcrawler vs Angel
Cyclops vs Storm
While Magneto didn't fight with any of the X-Men

And then just Apocalypse vs almost everybody

They would have been better acknowledging that Angel and Psylocke have an important relationship that builds to some pretty heavy and epic **** when they decided to use both of them.

I actually really liked Hardy as Angel. He didn't get that much to work with, but Angel was a lot more menacing than I expect. Thumbs up. :)

I loved angel's perm. And might I add, sexiest guy in a comic book film ever? Might compete with Chadwick boseman though. The two should have a sexy off

Course, aslong as he ain't dead, will they bring him back? maybe but its unlikely something that will hang on the producers head as a have happen thing

i thought he did great as Angel. I hope they bring him back. He should have joined the Xmen. On a different note Ben hardy was in a play and he gets naked in it so for those who thought he was hot his nudes are floating online :sly: I wanna go down on him:woot: Not even gonna lie. He's so freaking hot.

He has a healing factor. He'll be back. With X-Force in development and Warren not explicitly stated to be dead, I'd be surprised if he didn't return.

Yeah thats what I said to people in real life when they said Angel died. I was like no he has healing powers. Anyway, its an easy fix.

Considering that Apocalypse is explicitly stated to be able to jump from body to body, I wouldn't be surprised if he also returns. The only character who I feel is truly dead is Havok.

Even then, I can see Lucas Till return. If he returns, it'll be because Fox wanted to do an X-Factor spin-off with Mystique and Quicksilver since X-Factor are all about paranormal phenomena like time travel, aliens and alternate dimensions.

At this point, i'd rather have not those [blackout]two back... I didn't like Bryan's take on Apocalypse while Havok's death could have been better, bringing him back from that would be quite a stretch.[/blackout]

I dunno, it's a bit of a stretch, then why didn't his wings heal after the cage fight?
