I hope he looks closer to the 3rd, 5th, and 6th pics. He'd have to look sort of lean (with not much body fat) to be able to fly.

I'm sure he has a specific diet in place...

Finally? We already got him back in X3. Besides Archangel's power isnt only to fly. There's a reason why he is more than likely going to be transformed by Apocalypse here. That's what Singer is "gonna do now"

he shoots spikes don't he? in the 90s cartoon he shot missles or something like that so if singers follows through with that we should get something like that but either way do you want a character who can fly but is always grounded and fires things from his wings? ;P

there hasn't been alot of flying in the singer films so i question what he will do with a character thats power is mostly flying? not alot else he can do is there really

Archangel is capable of shooting razor sharp feathers, laced with a neurotoxin. Also, Singer didn't seem to have a problem with Sunspot flying, so I don't know why he would have one with Angel.

In X-Men/X2 singer was still having to deal with how GA viewed comic book films after B&R and budget issues.thinking the director of superman returns is against flying is crazy.
Angel was in early draft of X2 till budget helped caused him to be dropped.

Sunspot and storm in DOFP helps kill this.sunspot was flying and storm was hooving.

With archangel you kinda expect more faster pace and more graceful flying and alot more of it because he is a mutant with wings.

magneto and storm hovered for some of it at selected times, sunspot took off and vanished out of shot

He has razor sharp wings. Along with shooting the fletchettes, he can slice things up with his wings and they have super strength and are extremely durable, capable of shielding him from a number of attacks. They serve as a pretty big offensive and defensive power

I don't think Singer will have a problem with it. Between the sentinels, Magneto, Storm, and Sunspot, there were plenty of characters taking to the sky in Days of Future Past. At this stage, I think Singer is more than capable of taking on a winged mutant. Gone are the days when aerial stunts consisted of needing a metal disc to cross from one side of the room to the other.

He is capable of taking on a winged mutant, my actual concern is with Storm and whether or not we'll just see her hovering around...

If the previously released concept art holds true, she can't afford to. Otherwise, Cyclops will knock her out of the sky.

His healing ability puts him on the same level as Wolverine. This is not wimpy Angel from x3 (though he was still strong) this is Archangel, Apocalypse's creation designed to destroy. Flying is not his only ability. The Archangel story line was the best writing on the character. I'll put it right up there with the Phoenix Saga.

I just re-read INFERNO and was really impressed by Archangel. I am really looking forward to see how he will fight. His wings used as a weapon will look really cool. In INFERNO he fights Wolverine and cuts down whole trees with it.

Although I reall don't know if it is possible to make an Angel look cool flying. Floating ok, but an Angel in flight always looks awkward to me.

well, wait a minute. x-men has memorable hovering and levitation scenes but has yet to tackle flight scenes. unless you count the x-jet
