The Amazing Spider-Man Bendis Wants Fans To Petition Sony To Hire Him To Consult On Reboot

We can beat around the bush, but in essence this movie is Ultimate Spiderman the movie. Bendis, I believe seems upset that his baby is gonna be made without him. He posted this on twitter:

Well to be fair would you rather have him or no one involved in comics. I love Ultimate Spidey but don't want to see that on the big screen. If he plans to infuse his plots in the high school world but keep it 616 as much as it pains me to say it Yes I want Bendis involved.

bendis' characterization for peter in high school was frigging brilliant

the best moment is when spidey confronts the kingpin and before he fights he he digs out this small queue cards and reads out fat joke after fat joke before the kingpin loses it and attacks him.

bendis would certainly get my vote. in with bendis and out with avi arad who hasn't got a CLUE (forced venom on sam)

bendis is a consultant on the marvel movies, having bendis consult on spidey's new movie is the closet you are going to get to marvel producing the movie.

if I'm correct no studio is allowed to do something with the character that marvel disapprove.

I think you do need consultants, comics people to keep the crew in the right direction (like goyer and BB/TDK*) . if the guy in CHARGE is a comics person THEN you don't need consultants,

If he was going to be a consultant on it then I would only have be it for the high school scenes. Gwen Stacy as Carnage? No. Ultimate Green Goblin as a fireball-hurling demon? No. Ultimate Shocker looking like a complete idiot whom Spider-Man humiliates every battle? No.

The dialogue and plots of the Ultimate line are fun, but as a whole, I hate what they've done to certain characters.

If anything--- if this is Sony's break to redo what couldn't be done or should be redone in the past with Raimi's movies then they need to simply go to their local comic-book store and just read hundreds of Spider-Man comics to understand him, know who he is, what makes him, what his motivations are, etc. if they can't do that and just go a "Twilight Spider-Man" then seriously... I'll say **** this and stick with the Raimi trilogy.

I HATE Ultimate everything so...

Taking him back to his teenage years always seemed like a step backwards to me. Now, the movie is making the same mistakes as the books. Peter Parker will never grow and be stuck in character limbo forever.

Now, give me a petition for Bendis to write/consult on a Daredevil reboot and I'll be the first one to sign it.
