It was a toss up between X-men 3 and Spiderman 3, but I voted vor X-men 3 because as LOUD_SILENT_MAN mentioned before it gets alot of undeserved hate.
Ofcourse it wasn't the best movie, but I enjoyed it. One of the plus points of the movie is that the X-men finally work as a team and not so much Wolverine VS random enemy.

X-men didn't have things like "the convenient butler that waits years to say anything" or someone suffering amnesia seemingly just to annoy the viewers.

However it did punk Scott and professor X, as well as. . . that was Callisto? No it wasn't.
And Angels useless subplot.

Superman 3 was kinda boring by comparison, and it lacks Luthor. HOWEVER, it does have Superman become an evil alcoholic. That makes it pretty worth watching. Still, it could've been better, and it took away the epic feel of the first 2.

Blade 3 screwed up Dracula, and inappropriately threw in Parker Posey's hammy acting. The worst part is that they didn't even have the excuse of new writers or anythig. Goyer destroed his own franchise pretty much single handidly

Batman Forever replaced Burtons Gothic Gotham(Fittig isn't it?) with a neon coloured playground. It screwed up two face majorly, and makes you wonder why a man clearly in his 20's needs adopting.

Ninja Turtles 3 didn't even seem like a movie, but a forgettable TV episode that never ended. Also the only thing it had was Casey Jones returned- and he doesn't even do anything.

haven't seen crow or darkman 3

Picking the lesser evil can be hard.

No it had even worse:

"Magneto:I could use a man of your talents, I wont tell you why or who I am, but I could.

Multiple Man:"Even though I dont know you or what you are doing, am in."

And after all that Magneto uses him to get caught again!

I could go on and on.

Well i'd say he just knew Magneto by reputation, even though Magneto wasn't as known to the public he was still a pretty well known mutant in the mutant comunity. But I could be wrong about that.
Well seeing as this is a thread about personal preference arguing is simply silly :cwink: let's just all respect eachother and sing happy tunes about love and peace (too hopefull?)

-Peter can take off the black suit anytime he wants instead of it actually being an symbiote...except when they wanted to reenact the church scene, THEN it sticks to him.

But that's how it played out in the comics. The suit was kept in a box in his room and would sneak out onto him when he was asleep. He finally wants rid of the suit when he visits the FF and it refuses to leave his body calling for a sound blaster to get it off.
I haven't read th eissue of Web of Spider-man(issue 1?) with the church scene btw, could never find it, so i imagine the suit gets back on him(i has Spectacular Spiderman 100 that led into it with the suit coming in the window) and has to be removed by the sound of the bells in the same way.

Re:Multiple man in X3. I imagine Magneto could've 'asked' Multiple Man to sacrifice himself for the cause, promising to free him as easily as he did before. Considering Magneto freed him already I'd imagine Magneto would not be too pleased if he refused to do that for him.

I voted for Spidey3, it hasmany flaws but also has much to offer in the way of Spidey moments. They could've done without re-writing Ben's death and had Sandman put May or MJ in a coma if they wanted to give Black suit Spidey a reason to kill.

I will say I think X3 deserves all the hate it gets and more.
I agree, the movie is terrible and definitely deserves ALL that hatred. It was rushed and its really a half assed story and you can tell that Ratner and crew did it just for the pay. Terrible terrible film :down

I went for Spider-Man 3, it was an OK movie. And much better than the others in the Poll.

Honestly, "Spider-Man 3" is the best of the choices because it's the one that fits most seemlessly with the first two. Obviously in big part to Raimi sticking with it and directing all three films.

"Blade: Trinity" does the same thing because of Goyer's involvement, but to a lesser degree. Had they found an outside personality to direct 'Trinity,' it could've potentially been better. But without that funnel to channel Goyer's scripts through...you see what can happen when David takes the reigns of his own work.

I could have done without the Dracula cliche, and it was slightly hammy by the lesser actors, but that could be the director's fault, because Reynolds and Biel didn't seem as great as they usually are.

It could have been much worse though.

Yes, as I've seen again this year (The Unborn) David's directing leaves much to be desired.

Which is so ironic, considering his writing isn't that bad. You'd think with his insight of his own scripts that we could direct them no problem. So not the case...

But having a director seperate from the screenwriter gives the project a whole layer of depth it wouldn't have otherwise. And since the director wouldn't be infatuated with the script the way the writer is, he'd obviously trim the unecessary fat off. I know that must've been what both Norrington and Del Toro did for their respective 'Blade' films.

And without an outside director to do that for the 'Trinity' script...there you go lol

I was intending on seeing the 'Unborn' until I found out it was a Goyer directed film...oh well.

I'm not saying X3 was perfect... not by a long shot. It had many flaws. But alot of you guys make it out to be the second coming to Batman and Robin and it wasnt even close to that level of ******ness. But that may just be because I'm a die-hard Batman guy, so whatever... I just find X3 to be very watchable.

Bad thing about these polls is generational refrence-
I was little and remember not liking Superman III...but it grows on you.

To it's credit it followed the best one-two punch next to Burton's Bat and Rami's Spiderman. It comes across as dated now, but actually it's more relevant cause basically it was Skynet on a small scale...

Sure it was a R. Pryor vehicle, but you had the 'Red' Kryptonite...and the closest thing to Braniac in any Superman live action. A ton of action and sequence w/ Clark and the 'sick' Supes in the Junkyard STILL is solid to me.

I hated Spiderman 3 more than I disliked X-3...BOTH films lost there way, since they are the most current.

On watching these at the cinema 1st time...

X-Men 3 - I enjoyed it but felt a little suckerpunched as the trailer looked so great and I thought maybe they'd pulled off a good one despite it's production problems. I do enjoy watching it but wish Singer had stuck around, it is rushed and we lose too many good characters from the first two to cameos.

Spider-man3 - i got a big kick out of this, especially the fight at the end mainly due to the team up with Harry. I think it gets too much flack although I can see where folk are coming from. I enjoy it more than 2 though, which i think gets too much praise. 3 feels like reading 3 Spidey comics back to back. 2 feels like reading a 3 part story but the middle issue is missing ie not enough Spidey in that one at all.

Superman III - I recall the feeling of depression i got in the cinema watching this as a kid, the other two felt as good as watching Star Wars, this one felt like The Black Hole(which i did see in the cinema as well). A real disapointment.

Batman Forever - I came out of this one bouncing, I enjoyed it more than the Burton movies. Two-Face onscreen finally, Robin's origin, more Batman, Gotham felt like a bigger city, great opening sequence. It wasn't until much later I realized Two-Face was not so good, i was just pleased to see him up there in some form. I was confused by Batman89 with all the liberities it took with the origin and character on 1st watch, buzzed after seeing Batman Returns, but felt both needed more BM in there. BF felt more like the comics, it kept me happy for a while, when I'd get home drunk I'd usually stick on the opening sequence.

Superman III is my guilty pleasure, I must admit.

Its unlikely seeing as the hundreds of mutants in the church didnt know who he was by reputation.

Fair enough, but X3 just, angers me.

 I actually think you are being too kind to the movie. Not only was it a bad adaptation, it was just simply a bad movie.

But why could't the red kryptonite be red? Why couldn't we have Brainiac instead a robot woman for three seconds?

If they had given the robot a larger role, made it brainiac, and made the kryptonite Red, it would've helped the movie sooooooo much IMO.

A pleasure nonetheless tho

It would have helped...'us' the folks who know Lana from Lois, but even as Superman goes there are things the general public aren't aware of. I think the idea of kryptonite as a debilitating element to man who can't be beat is a reach for the average viewer...and now they want to add other colors...maybe not so much.

Spider-Man 3 is the best of the threequels. Followed by Batman Forever...And then Superman III....Maybe. I haven't seen it probably over 10 years or more.

I am going with Superman Returns based on the fact it is the sequel to Superman I and II. So technically speaking it is the third movie of the series.

If we were counting SR, then that would far and away be the best third movie in a franchise for me.
