I'm a big fan of Dick Grayson but outside of his Titans stint as Robin not so much his career as Robin. I was a huge New Titans fan growing up so I think he really came into his own after the adoption of the Nightwing mantle. If you ask me who the best Robin is it's easily Tim Drake.

Why? well out of all the Batman apprentices he is the only one to come as close to genuine article as opposible in terms of his physical prowess and his detective skills. He's been the most mature and disciplined out of all the Robin's and he had the luxury of having the least embarrassing outfit out of the 3 main Robin's. He's the been the only one that has been fleshed out the best while donning the Robin mantle to the point that some (not me) even question the value of the other 2 Robin's. I think pound for pound he's the best Robin around.

Dick Grayson was good. Jason Todd was all right. But Tim Drake is the definitive Robin to me. Lets hope that nobody at DC gets the itch to kill him off.

Jason Todd. He may not a been the most skilled Robin but he could've been the best character if he'd had a longer run. There's just something more interesting about his core concept that the other Robins..."gifted, super responsible acrobat" and "gifted, super-driven teen detective".

I agree with you 100% and if I may add a couple things, I believe his character would have made for a ton of great stories. Every other Robin (95% of the time) has always been the Yes Sir to Batman, where Jason always made his own decisions and did his thing. His origin after Crisis was brilliant, he was no longer the carbon copy of Dick Grayson, and had that street toughness that none of the other Robin's had.
