Singer. I enjoyed X1, X2, and SR.
Raimi. I love the guy but I only enjoyed SP1 and 2.
Donner. I don't love STM the way some people do.
Burton only got Batman for me. Still love watching it.

Base purely on numbers, Singer wins with 3 movies.

Richard Donner. Raimi and Singer's respective fumbles have shaken my faith in them.

This isn't a knock by any means but I've found that fewer young people are as much in awe of the 1st STM as people from my generation who grew up with it and not with the current crop of super-hero movies. It's just an observation.

Times have changed alot. People still had lingering hope for a better nation and had yet to see a superhero truly realized on the screen back then. Nowadays people are cynical about what America stands for and the SFX that were used back then. It's part of a problem with all of the old films being watched by today's younger audience, not just Donner's Superman.

I'm going with Singer. I loved how he did both X-Men flicks. Would have loved to see him do the 3rd, but he did just fine on SR. I actually really enjoy that movie.

It's very watchable. I laugh at it in all the right places. I've gotten over the dated SFX. I watch a lot of old films. Splendor in the Grass is one my favorite movies of all time.

But for the same reason people dislike SR, Superman would never do that(you know what I mean). Is why I like it. He feels more like me. "I made a mistake and now I have to deal with the consequences."

78' is classic in the everything is going to be alright. I'll just spin the Earth backwards. Partly because those powers weren't what I grew up with so it seemed even more alien.

Many people I know in my gen and around didn't even want to see SR at the theaters because many think of Superman as that all powerful being from 78.

Sam Raimi cuz I like the fact that the guy who directed the Evil Dead trilogy is the same guy who directs the Spidey movies.

Though Sam Raimi directed Spidey 2, my favorite superhero movie, I voted Bryan Singer since all of his movies have been solid imo.

Singer destroys the competition. Del Toro follows, eventhough he's not on the crappy list. And I like Raimi as an overall director, but I could never really get interested in his Spiderman movies. I give parts one and two alot more credit than his last effort, though. And Joel schumacher is just like a wet fart in your face from your grandma-and you can quote me on that.

I wanna say Tim Burton since he's the only one to make artistic superhero movies, but I also wanna say a tie between Donner and Raimi for being more respectful to the comics.

This should have been multiple choice. :cmad:

Singer's only great film is his first.
I watched him fumble not one but two X Films and no doubt in his awful translated and wannabe adapted hands X3 would've been awful too.

in fact, most of my crew joke about with ;
'i've got to go the bathroom and make an XMen movie'

I say Tim Burton first batman then Riami with spider man 2

I don't think that any director has captured what is true about any Superhero... I think every director has gone too far away from the source material...

IF I HAD TO CHOOSE, SAM RAIMI.... he did for Spiderman WHAT FRANK MILLER did for DAREDEVIL! ! !
