That's actually the matter of opinion. What makes Indiana Jones the best franchise for me? It's the only way how to feel myself a kid. It's the best one for me and nothing will change my mind, even the Temple of Doom, which actually wasn't as bad as many here say.

Even better than the Star Wars OT? :wow:

In the spirit of the other poll (best of the original three superhero movies) let's vote on the best of the modern era.

X2: X-Men United (2003)
Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Batman Begins (2005)
Other

Thank you for not putting The Hulk on that list (Shudder).

Me?
Batman Begins Followed closely by Spidey2

The Spider-man movies are the only ones that stayed faithful to the true spirit and look of the character and book. The Burton Batman movies are right up there as well. Batman being the one that paved the way for these comics to be made, but a shame when realism and lazy no imagination filmmakers ruin them.

Simply not true.

If you've ever read a batman comic you'll notice the story takes place in a City..NOT a small set. Thanks Nolan for applying CG to Chicago, filming there and London and all around the world plus building WAY more realistic and interesting sets, therefore being faithful to the true spirit of the city and character. This is Batman, NOT fantasy lazy Willy Wonka Sets.

Also if you've every read the comic you'll notice how mobile batman is in the suit. In B89 he can't even turn his head, can't even look up. Thanks to Nolan for Improving on the mobility and look of the suit, therefore being faithful to the true spirit of the character.

If you've read the comic batman:Year2 you'll remember that Joe Chill killed Waynes parents..not The Joker. Thanks Nolan for not only using this character in the story and taking it even further by having his murder directly affect the plot which sends him around the world and back. Check out Batman:Year1. Again, therefore being faithful to the true spirit of the character.

Lucius Fox: Thanks Nolan for including this Character from the comics.
Carmine Falcone: Thanks Nolan for including this character from the comic and including him in the plot.
Zaz: Thanks Nolan for including this character from the comics.
Dr Crane/Scarcrow: Wow, what a way to slip in another Rogue Villain without getting bogged down in too much onscreen villainy like Nicholsons Joker. batman89 should have been called The Joker. Go and find the old reviews, that was most peoples complaint. Same with batman Returns.
Batman Begins manages to create a massive world that tells the story of an origin and mixes it up with 4 villains from the comics. The plot revolves loosly around several stories from batman:year1, The long Halloween and more.
Man I could go on. Nolan stayed so true to the comic and expanded so much on every aspect. Batman89 is charming but to compare it to Batman begins. Thats like Diamond to glass. EVERYONE knows BB is far superior and WAYY more faithful to the true spirit of the character.

I'll have this to Spider-Man 2. But Batman Begins is very close behind.

X2 is horrible, Spider Man 2 and BB are good but overrated.

I'll probably go with Hulk.

Some people have a connection with The Hulk?
If it were the ultimate origin movie though, why are they remaking it already.
Have you guys read the classics. If so or not, what is it about that movie you like in a few short words.
I honestly want to know. :)

I've seen the Hulk once in my life and feel asleep half-way through.

I love BB and SM-2, but I prefer BB. It's everything I wanted in a Batman film and more. Simple as that.

I think X2 is hugely overrated. It's good but it's much too long. I also love S.R. but in terms of rewatchability, BB trumps them all. I can understand some of the reactions to it but I am surprised at how many people are so virtrolic about it.

1. Begins
2. X2
3. Spidey 1 :o
