The Spider-man movies are the only ones that stayed faithful to the true spirit and look of the character and book. The Burton Batman movies are right up there as well. Batman being the one that paved the way for these comics to be made, but a shame when realism and lazy no imagination filmmakers ruin them.
Simply not true.
If you've ever read a batman comic you'll notice the story takes place in a City..NOT a small set. Thanks Nolan for applying CG to Chicago, filming there and London and all around the world plus building WAY more realistic and interesting sets, therefore being faithful to the true spirit of the city and character. This is Batman, NOT fantasy lazy Willy Wonka Sets.
Also if you've every read the comic you'll notice how mobile batman is in the suit. In B89 he can't even turn his head, can't even look up. Thanks to Nolan for Improving on the mobility and look of the suit, therefore being faithful to the true spirit of the character.
If you've read the comic batman:Year2 you'll remember that Joe Chill killed Waynes parents..not The Joker. Thanks Nolan for not only using this character in the story and taking it even further by having his murder directly affect the plot which sends him around the world and back. Check out Batman:Year1. Again, therefore being faithful to the true spirit of the character.
Lucius Fox: Thanks Nolan for including this Character from the comics.
Carmine Falcone: Thanks Nolan for including this character from the comic and including him in the plot.
Zaz: Thanks Nolan for including this character from the comics.
Dr Crane/Scarcrow: Wow, what a way to slip in another Rogue Villain without getting bogged down in too much onscreen villainy like Nicholsons Joker. batman89 should have been called The Joker. Go and find the old reviews, that was most peoples complaint. Same with batman Returns.
Batman Begins manages to create a massive world that tells the story of an origin and mixes it up with 4 villains from the comics. The plot revolves loosly around several stories from batman:year1, The long Halloween and more.
Man I could go on. Nolan stayed so true to the comic and expanded so much on every aspect. Batman89 is charming but to compare it to Batman begins. Thats like Diamond to glass. EVERYONE knows BB is far superior and WAYY more faithful to the true spirit of the character.
