my overall stance i was trying to get across is that there's at least one more series of figures Mattel could make,using already existing pieces,that would be on the cheap and get them some profit...

Bruce Wayne - simple...Thug body,repainted...Scarecrow hands...Dent/Face tie,repainted....Bruce Wayne head...

Police officer Joker .... Thug body,repainted....Dent/Face tie,repainted...Jail Cell Joker head,repainted...only new thing needed is a hat...

others,like Ra's,just need a Thug body...all they need to do is make a new head mold...

i tuthfully wouldn't have minded a "concept" series,ala Iron Man, for Dark Knight MM's...

i've actually been working on a concept Azrael Batman that should be done sometime this week....

i REALLY want to make a Robin,but haven't a damned clue as to what to use as a base body...i want to do a kid-version,so i can't use a Batman figure...

Maybe you can buy one of the kids version of a Batman figure which is shorter then the movie master figure and see what you can do with that

got my Movie Masters: Two Face in the mail from TRU

Finally got my MM Two Face and SS Bruce from TRU.com; don't really know why it took as long as it did, but I'm happy with both. Add those to the JC Joker I grabbed last week and I believe I'm (finally) done with this line. I managed to get everything except the chase figs or those I just had no interest in. Although, I'm still up in the air as to whether I need to grab the lone remaining Suit Scarecrow that I saw at TRU since I already have the first one. It didn't do much for me upon first inspection; certainly not at $12.99.

Regardless, the collecting/repetitious scouring of store/endless seeking was fun. It's too bad Mattel had its head lodged up its ass on near every aspect of the MM line's release and that it ultimately resulted in a degradation into mass BS and inanity, but hey, it was still fun.

Dammit, Mattel!

i'm about a little more than 24 hours out from being done,as my Bank Robbery Joker is scheduled for delivery tomorrow,then that will be it....nothing more to collect...as i said before,it's bot ha relief,and a sadness i feel as this approaches...i still remember running up to TRU on May 1st,2008,and find 4 of the figures on an endcap near the front of the store ( 2 X Bats, 1 X Joker and Thug) ,and i really,truly felt at that moment that this line would be something i would be collecting for years to come - ironically,i did,just not the way i thought it would pan out - and it didn't work out that way...though i do have fond memories,for the most part,about the line...

that initial trip to TRU...

finding Series 2 in Wal-Mart here,the same day i was going away on a wedding anniversary trip (funny how that worked out...but there was a point,after looking at some Amish artwork with the wife for like an hour,that i kinda wished i was home looking at the new MM figures!)

finding an Unmasked Batman chase in TRU in October 2009 and literally yelling "Holy S**t!" as i spotted it,loud enough for people to look...

Dickson-City TRU having in the 12" Joker,prompting me to finally travel up there and find the place...

the re-growing excitement as i spotted Two-Face on the front peg at TRU in April...

unfortunately,that excitment was short-lived,as it could've grown again if this was the first salvo in a new wave on MM figures...alas,it was the last,dying gasp of one of my favorite figure lines i own...

i'm thinking of doing a sort of "retrospective" of the line on here...pictures of each figure,with their Crime Scene Evidence piece...sort of a last "look back" at the line....what do you think?

p.s. i'm off work this week,so,yes,i have a lot of time on my hands!!

thatd be great to see that Mikey, and yeah, this was a time of fond memories, i still remember how pages and pages back is aid id make a chechen custom if i found another MMjoker lol, or my attempt at sculpting a Gordon head from scratch. these past few years i will remember, cant wait to see what the other films getting this treatment will be, doesnt Avatar already have MMs?

if i wasnt under aged and underfunded id say we should all get together for drinks to celecbrate lol

yeah Avatar 6" line is under the Movie Masters banner...as are their Ghostbusters figures....also hearing rumors there'll be a Green Lantern Movie Masters line next year...

i'm going to wait to put up the pictures til after i get the BRJ figure...probably Saturday for the pics....

Dude Mikey, That would be a great idea to do a retrospective of the MM's on here. I wish Mattel would jump on this site and see all of us on here who have so much passion for this line. Hope you get your BR Joker soon so that you can begin the retrospective.
