Anyway, might be worth a stop if your still looking to fill out your MM collection.i was at walmart and no mms at all i dint think i sw pegs for them! so i much will it cost me for you to get me a scarecrow scarecrowman?
I dunno about Mattel's marketing plan.
Don't get me wrong--I'm glad they made a two-face and BR joker, but really.
"hey guys, i have a great idea--instead of capitalizing on hype and fan excitement, let's wait till months later, I mean like even waaaay after the DVD release later, in a really bad recession year to sell our overpriced figures that are mysteriously without any accessories for a movie that is no longer relevant to the general consumer which would make up a relatively large portion of our buyers!
Oh, and when we don't sell enough of these figures and kill the line because of it, let's act really confused and surprised like we don't know why what happened happened."
Their killin teh LINNEEEEEE!!!!
In Mattel's defense, I don't think they anticipated the line to be quite this well received. In fact, I bet any plans for it to continue post-Begins Batman and Scarecrow were tentative and they were simply waiting to see how the line went before making any real decisions. Keep in mind the kid focused basic figures were, as far as Mattel was concerned, the core of the line; Movie Masters were simply a better sculpted, extra articulated bonus for older fans.
Anyway, the MMs end up a smash and Mattel scrambles to make new figures, which as we all know can take basically a year to create, thus we get the Arkham Scarecrow, Final Battle Batman repaint wave to, Mattel must hope, maintain interest in the line and tide collectors over.
Of course that's all middle of the night conjecture.
Hey Mikey1974, just a quick question, how did you put the thugs arms in your scarecrow. I took the whole upper body apart and put them in like that. I was wondering if you found an easier way to do it. I'm thinkin about doing a second one.
nah, just cracked the whole upper part in half at the seams, not east at all, then just took out the old arms, put in the new ones, superglued the edges of the torso, and popped it back together...
