i only have the joker and tdk batman i bought a bb bats but he had a faulty jount so im gonna take him back and get another

I must say, the next line looks great. I think I want every figure, which I couldn't very well say for the first.

These plus the Batpod make me think Mattel might be stepping up their games...now lets just get some friggin accessories!

pssh how much ****ing money will it cost to get both of those Harvey figures?

:cmad: everytime i see that scarecrow i get disgusted that they used the same suit as the goon. i will not be buying it... :cmad:

***FEAR GAS BATMAN POSSIBLY RESHIPPING??***

While I have no solid proof to confirm this, as of a couple days ago the Fear Toxin Batman was no where to be found and ebay had very few. As of today, there are a LOT on ebay which leads me to question my statements yesterday about the figure having stopped shipping. It's possible some of us might have another shot. Personally as I already have the figure, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for extras for board members.

not the best pic,but finished my Scarecrow custom using WarrenPeace's awesomely simple recipe...i gave him a blue tie like he wears in BB though...

Excellent work my friend! I gotta say I'm liking the tie, makes it stand out more. Good work :woot:

it should actually be a darker blue,to match the movie, but i have to buy paint....tis easy enough to repaint...

Was at Wal-Mart today - before I even got to the toy department, I stumbled onto a 4-sided display in the middle of the aisle. Bat-cycles, Tumblers, Launching Batpods, and MM's. I'd say about 35-40 MM's - a mix of both versions of Batman, Scarecrow and numerous Thugs, including ones with the Grumpy mask. They were on sale for $11.96 I think. I guess that's a sale, I can't remember what they cost before. Anyway, might be worth a stop if your still looking to fill out your MM collection.

Has anyone mentioned that Kmart is doing buy one get one free on Movie Masters? I forget when the deal is over, but it was going on today. They're priced at $10.99 I believe.

I picked up the last Thug and a kicking pose TDK Bats.

It's really good to see that these stores are finally treating TDK right, and getting those Movie Masters out there. To think I struggled like crazy to complete my collection, and now had I waited I could have done it all in one fell swoop.

I saw my 1st Gotham Thug figure today since May and I'm happy to say I'm now the proud owner of a Gotham Thug finally

i was at walmart and no mms at all i dint think i sw pegs for them! so i much will it cost me for you to get me a scarecrow scarecrowman?

I dunno about Mattel's marketing plan.

Don't get me wrong--I'm glad they made a two-face and BR joker, but really.

"hey guys, i have a great idea--instead of capitalizing on hype and fan excitement, let's wait till months later, I mean like even waaaay after the DVD release later, in a really bad recession year to sell our overpriced figures that are mysteriously without any accessories for a movie that is no longer relevant to the general consumer which would make up a relatively large portion of our buyers!

Oh, and when we don't sell enough of these figures and kill the line because of it, let's act really confused and surprised like we don't know why what happened happened."

Their killin teh LINNEEEEEE!!!!

I can pick you one up at Wal-Mart, just send me price plus shipping so that would be about...12.00 for the figure, 7.00 shipping. PM me and we'll work out the details ok?

In Mattel's defense, I don't think they anticipated the line to be quite this well received. In fact, I bet any plans for it to continue post-Begins Batman and Scarecrow were tentative and they were simply waiting to see how the line went before making any real decisions. Keep in mind the kid focused basic figures were, as far as Mattel was concerned, the core of the line; Movie Masters were simply a better sculpted, extra articulated bonus for older fans.

Anyway, the MMs end up a smash and Mattel scrambles to make new figures, which as we all know can take basically a year to create, thus we get the Arkham Scarecrow, Final Battle Batman repaint wave to, Mattel must hope, maintain interest in the line and tide collectors over.

Of course that's all middle of the night conjecture.

no,this is true.....the MM line was NOT meant to be the main focus, but rather, like you said,a little bonus for the collector-base out there...and they took off like a rocket, while the 5" line languishes on it's march into obscurity....and they were caught completely off guard...that's why you're not getting anything really new til next year:

1) it does take roughly a year from sculpting a prototype til a production piece goes on a peg...

2) they concentrated on getting the figures that were already made, the ones no one could find,to the consumer by ramping up production 110%..it took a few months, but now we're seeing the benefit (negative-overflow) of this by seeing MM pegwarming where 5 months ago they weren't...

Walmart is going to have to do something with the amount of BB Batmen and Scarecrows warming the pegs before the next wave comes out. They gotta have atleast 50 just sitting there...and they've been there for months.

Hey Mikey1974, just a quick question, how did you put the thugs arms in your scarecrow. I took the whole upper body apart and put them in like that. I was wondering if you found an easier way to do it. I'm thinkin about doing a second one.

nah, just cracked the whole upper part in half at the seams, not east at all, then just took out the old arms, put in the new ones, superglued the edges of the torso, and popped it back together...
