Green Lantern next year...even if we get 3 series of that (which i think we will at most),that should hopefully take us into early 2012,and the pegspace would - hopefully - transition seamlessly into new Batman MM's in Spring 2012...

of course,we're all jumping the gun here...we're assuming we even WILL get Batman 3 MM's....i think the chances are good (especially with GL ones coming) , but still we don't know for sure we will get more...though they'd be stupid not to....

but it IS Mattel....

if Mattel learned their lesson there'll be NO 5" line for B3 , or if it must be,then make THAT the limited line,and mass-produce MM figures....

part of the problem back in 2008 being there were TOO MANT damned 5" figures....they clogged pegs,massively pegwarming...when the MM's began to return to the market,a lot of places didn't even have room for them,as not having product for months led them to fill the MM pegs with 5" figures, further delaying gettong MM's out on the pegs,and by the time a lot of places finally DID have space to put them out,we either already got our fix somewhere else,or lost interest....

THEN,when it was time to solicit new stuff back in early 2009,no one wanted to pick them up,because the pegs were STILL overflowing with stuff from the movie that wasn't selling - namely,the 5" line...so no one wanted to put new TDK merchandise on the pegs when they couldn't give away the old stuff (even if they were different figures at a different scale,it didn't matter)...i still see 5" scale stuff all over the place - TRU,WM,K-Mart...i rarely see any MM stuff,and if i do it's only the newer stuff at TRU...

so,memo to Mattel - do NOT make ANY 5" scale Batman 3 toys...jsut don't...though considering there will be GL ones,i'm assuming no lessons have been learned...

you know,i could write a college thesis on why Mattel's TDK line failed...

Joker - first in a green outfit,then the proper purple one...
Two-Face
BB suit Batman reissue
BB Bruce Wayne Ninja reissue
BB Scarecrow reissue

those were the movie figures,then there were some "concept" figures like Deathstroke and Firefly that were really hard to find...

i never got the BB bats reissue, but oh well, i did get thegree suited Joker which i repainted, complete with messy make up, and then i got two 'faces one i repainted in the 90s colors

I remember seeing a Deathstroke at a convention and it was for like $25 or so but I passed on getting it, month later I went to Walgreens to pick up medication for my mother an behold I found one all beat up for $6. Never found that Firefly though although god knows I keep looking

In a perfect world Mikey, we would definitely not be getting any more 5 inch plastic paperweights. But unfortunately Marketing and not learning your lesson as a toy company still play a key part.

I definitely agree with you that if they have to make it to please all of the little kids then make the 5 inch crap limited and just mass produce the collector items. But of course Mattel probably wont do that. Ya know Mikey writing that thesis of yours may not be a bad idea lol.

2 more customs...

Hong Kong Batman:

standard TDK Batman,painted some grey highlights on parts of the suit,as well as some glossy sealer on the shoulders,Bat-Symbol,and boots...just to try to kinda set it apart a little...

also gave him the backpack...

and the sticky-bomb gun...not 100% screen accurate,but at least it retains the basic shape and look of it...

yes,again....

was tired of not really being able to move mine,due to the repaint i had to do on the whole figure,so i just started over from scratch...took a Harvey Dent body,and basically left it alone other than repainting the tie and shoes brown...

head is from a Star Trek 2009 Captain Pike figure,glasses from a random WWE figure...jacket was reused from previous Gordon's i made,and is removable...

don't know if he actually ever wore a dark blue suit in either film,but i'll sacrifice the screen accuracy for actual movement...

nah,they said it could take up to 10 days to arrive...it'll only be a week on Tuesday....if it's not there by this coming Saturday,then i'll have to call and see what i can do...

i've had letters/packages,etc. take only 2 days to arrive coming from like Arkansas and Texas,yet it's taken over a week sometimes for the same stuff to arrive from New York...it's all variable based on the post offices and carriers involved...that's why they generally give you a 7 - 10 day frame of delivery...

Hello everyone. I came on these forums about a year and a half ago, got in an argument with someone, and sent him a free Joker because I felt bad. I had a different username then but I forgot it.

I was obsessed with collecting the Movie Masters figures and have ALL of the 2008 figures still in their boxes...and I don't know what to do with them. I estimate I spent at least $400 on all those figures with gas and everything. I also have an in-box Two Face, a Two Face I'm displaying, and a Joker w/ Missile Launcher I'm displaying. I can't bring myself to buy the rest currently. It was my first foray into collecting anything really, and yeah, now they're not worth anything. Lesson learned. However I must say I've felt the call of the DX JOker recently. WHY is he $400 bucks on Amazon?

So anyhoo...I was thinking about this forum and just wanted to drop by and say, "What it do."

one thing i've learned: collect toys for your OWN value and enjoyment...if you're planning to make a buck down the line somewhere,good luck...
