The Dark Knight Biggest Disappointment

Things I didn't like: Gordons little brat, the Bat-pod turning around on the wall, and Rachel's corny lovey dovey last words.

Do you mean things you DID like?

Cause like, all of those things on the list were awesome.

I loved the comic-bookness of the father son talking and relationships. Gordon reminds me a little of Bruce's dad, how he is with his son.

The Bat-pod turn has gotten a huge reaction out of the audiance all 3 times I have seen this movie, cause it is just cool to watch and badass.

And the last words, those were some of the BEST lines from the character. You could DEFF point out other things with her.

Just an odd list.

Lol! That was funny

oh and bales batman voice got really bad, i liked it in begins but this time it was just him slurring words together and i coulndt understand his speech at the end to the joker

Ok.

He just flew from one building, through a window, beat up 20 + swat members, was jumping down and up the different levels of the building, got mauled by 3 rotties while the Joker beat the living crap out of him with a metal pole for about 2 minutes, then had The Joker kneeling on his chest.. Wouldn't your words be a bit slurred?

Yah um…no. Can’t you read?

Gordons son leaning over the railing and shouting something to the degree of “is he okay” nearly ruined that scene for me. It was so unnecessary and corny. He just had a gun to his head and nearly fell to his death, and then the delivery was so…calm and happy.

The Batpod turn got nothing from my crowd. I thought it was ridiculous and I wasn’t alone amongst my friends. If you're going to establish this as real world, keep it that way. Dont throw in corny unnessessary moments like that. Just have the damn thing turn around.

Finally I thought Rachel’s scene was too…too calm and storybook for a girl in that scenario. But that’s me.

It's not perfect. Maybe damn near...but not perfect. Nothing is.

for the record, you can do the "batpod turn", so its not like it is impossible or unrealistic..

HAted the ****ing bat sonar P.O.V. and I hated the fact that we had to see Two-face, and see him randomly go after Gordon's son. Also hated the unrealistic behavior on the ferries.

The movie would have been perfect it have ended like this:

Right after The Joker Dent scene in the hospital. Dent goes missing (presumably dead in the hospital blast). No trace.

Then the Joker makes his threat on the boats. Batman learns of the Joker's position (This could have been done in a much more plausible way; standard computer monitors with a realistic looking digital display), and goes to the building. No lenses needed. No cheap, video game-looking P.O.V. shots. Batman uses his ninja tactics to take out the henchmen and SWATS, and then confronts the Joker.

And here We go! One of the ferries blows up; the prison one. The Joker proves his point. Batman is left in a dark place. The cops pin DEnt's death on Batman. BAtman is now the hunted. END.

The biggest dissapointment for me was Batman. This movie is 90% about Dent. He is the one who carries the story arc. Everyone else is background.

I'm also dissapointed in no Wayne Mannor and no Batcave. I thought we would finally see the new and updated Wayne Mannor, but no such luck.

By the time the movie was finished, they probably realized if they crammed any more things in there then it would turn out to be too long

I didn't feel that the movie was crammed at all.
My only disappointment is that Ledger's passing has left us Joker-less.
But I'll be even more disappointed if they decide to recast the part.
This was such a great film!

I wasnt disappointed, but a big aww, man moment for me was when Two-Face died. I was hoping he'd survive the fall, maybe once Batman fell down, Dent's body would've been missing.

There were a fews things that bothered me,but nothing that really ruined the film for me.
Batman was hard to understand at times and I think the whole "bat sonar" thing did get annoying after a while, but I think what did bother me most was Two Face and Scarecrow. Scarecrow is my second favorite Bat villain(after the Joker)and he was treated just like another thug on the street. It didn't take much to capture him. I wanted at least a few more scenes with him. And the build up with Harvey was great, but once he became Two Face it felt like he was rushed. He felt kinda like the Venom of The Dark Knight. Well,Dent got alot more time and buildup than Eddie Brock ever did in Spider-man 3.

Personally I think the Joker and the laughs were perfect.

At any rate my biggest disappointment was some unrealsim (Bats droppin from 20 stories up with Racheal and not being hurt as well as Dent surviving a car crash that totalled the top of the car by wearing a seatbelt) and then Heath's memorial not being at the very beginning of the credits. People walked out without even seeing it. Diappointing.

Even with that stuff though this is still my favorite movie now.

some of you guys are the biggest babies ever, nolan didnt make this movie FOR you jesus lmfao enjoy the movie and if you liked this movie stop complaining your just gonna ruin it for yourself!!! :(

I definitely felt, when joker said that line about doing this forever with batman..
that I needed to see the joker come back in a sequel..
but at the same time i'm conflicted because I don't want to see another actor do it..
COULD another actor pull it off? I'm not going to outright doubt it, because I can't predict the potential of all actors..
anyway.. whether he comes back or not, I think Nolan would make anything work. His films have impressed me hugely thus far.
I am disappointed that I won't see Ledger play the joker again though.

The thing that stood out to me that I didn't like too much, were some of the takes they included in the film that were different from the ones in trailers and such.
Like, when joker says at the party "i'll settle for his loved ones", I was hoping for the sing-songy voice he used in the tv spot/trailer thing when he said that.
I thought that was awesome and it sucked that they didn't use it, along with a few other similar instances that i'm sure all of you also picked up on.

The sonar thing was also a disappointment, it did make sense to me and it fit alright.. but it wasn't great.. and I didn't really care about it.

I thought that the joker smiled and laughed JUST enough. If you pay attention he actually laughs/giggles quite a lot. I can see why it would go unnoticed at times, but really it happened quite enough and I was pleased with it.

I personally don't think two face is dead. I think Harvey Dent is "dead", but two face is going to be around.. as some have mentioned themselves already.
I could be wrong, anything goes, but I think we will see this character surface again somehow, most definitely.

I really thought the mayor was wearing eyeliner too..
but although that sort of detail sort of made me wonder during the particular scenes, it didn't sway me in any way..haha.

I watched all of the credits, like, until the very very end, and somehow I didn't notice the Heath memorial thing, does anyone know when in particular it was? If it stood out or not? I can't believe I didn't even see it.

Overall this film was absolutely incredible to me. Any flaws can be easily overlooked, i'm still overwhelmed from watching this film and trying to process it.

I only have very minor issues...

- Gotham didn't feel or look as full of skyscrapers as BB, which made almost every scene seem as if it were taking place on the outskirts of town.
- Fox getting too directly involved in Batman's doings toward the end.

but no matter it was an amazing film.

I dont have any disappointments really. I thought everything was just fine. Nothing that i can think of really got under my skin or annoyed me.

mine has to be scarecrow, the unexplained weak part of the film.

Context, context.

It was after the first part of the credits, just before the crawl.

No one yelling that "He's flying on roof tops!" Ok but maybe a little more Scarecrow would have been nice. Oh and I wouldn't mind a recasting of the Joker I mean I have always thought Heath to be a decent actor but, wow did he ever step it up, I can honestly say that I can see someone else doing it if it came down to it.
