I definitely felt, when joker said that line about doing this forever with batman..
that I needed to see the joker come back in a sequel..
but at the same time i'm conflicted because I don't want to see another actor do it..
COULD another actor pull it off? I'm not going to outright doubt it, because I can't predict the potential of all actors..
anyway.. whether he comes back or not, I think Nolan would make anything work. His films have impressed me hugely thus far.
I am disappointed that I won't see Ledger play the joker again though.
The thing that stood out to me that I didn't like too much, were some of the takes they included in the film that were different from the ones in trailers and such.
Like, when joker says at the party "i'll settle for his loved ones", I was hoping for the sing-songy voice he used in the tv spot/trailer thing when he said that.
I thought that was awesome and it sucked that they didn't use it, along with a few other similar instances that i'm sure all of you also picked up on.
The sonar thing was also a disappointment, it did make sense to me and it fit alright.. but it wasn't great.. and I didn't really care about it.
I thought that the joker smiled and laughed JUST enough. If you pay attention he actually laughs/giggles quite a lot. I can see why it would go unnoticed at times, but really it happened quite enough and I was pleased with it.
I personally don't think two face is dead. I think Harvey Dent is "dead", but two face is going to be around.. as some have mentioned themselves already.
I could be wrong, anything goes, but I think we will see this character surface again somehow, most definitely.
I really thought the mayor was wearing eyeliner too..
but although that sort of detail sort of made me wonder during the particular scenes, it didn't sway me in any way..haha.
I watched all of the credits, like, until the very very end, and somehow I didn't notice the Heath memorial thing, does anyone know when in particular it was? If it stood out or not? I can't believe I didn't even see it.
Overall this film was absolutely incredible to me. Any flaws can be easily overlooked, i'm still overwhelmed from watching this film and trying to process it.
