Ah good safety net then.
Also I don't count animation against live action as it's much easier to get almost 100% scores for animation.
yup. so just against live action, dark knight's record of 94% looks very likely to be going down now

the interesting target will be if it can hold the 8.3 average now. that would be tied for second place
http://filmsinreview.com/2018/02/14/black-panther/Bloated with every trope in the genre, too long running time, lack of investment in the villains...
With the #OscarsSoWhite controversy and the lack of diversity in mainstream movies and TV being recognized and addressed, its risky to criticize BLACK PANTHER. I have seen the sea-change. Black actors and actresses are being hired. They are being represented on TV series and in films.
The New York Times headline was Why Black Panther is a Defining Moment for Black America might well be a true statement, but is it a good movie?
A big-budgeted studio film about a black action superhero with a nearly all-black cast is a huge step forward. However, I owe it to my readers to give my honest opinion about BLACK PANTHER. I am not intimidated by fear of being called a racist because I did not like BLACK PANTHER.
I love Africa. I have bona fides attesting to it: I have been to Botswana, Benin, Ghana, Egypt, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Namibia, Togo, South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, Senegal and Zimbabwe. I didnt view these countries from an air-conditioned bus: I camped through the Dogons to Timbuktu, engaged in voodoo ceremonies in Benin and Togo and camped through Uganda and Rwanda.
Marvels decision to put big money into BLACK PANTHER is admirable and they will be rewarded with a massive box office. But the movie has problems. Big problems. If you want to dismiss them, so be it. But I am going to tell you exactly what is wrong with the movie. Complaint Number 1: Stan Lees cameo.
With my feet-on-the-ground view of Africa, to see a storyline about an African kingdom so highly advanced but hidden from the rest of the poverty-stricken continent is a grave disservice.
who is that?
That's Armond White.
With that chunk dedicated to qualifying the score it makes me think this person has more of an agenda than they're letting on. If it's about the quality of the film, make the review about that, but the need to defend it's content makes it sounds click bait-y. Oh well.
Yeah that will be interesting really any thing 8+ is like amazing though.

When she spent like the first third of the "review" saying what she loved about Africa so she didn't come off as racist, it felt like a very condescending, snarky review. Going over her past reviews, she's tends to do a lot of backhanded compliments and passive aggressive comments.I stopped short of actually reading her breakdown. She may make good points, but I was worried about spoilers. Maybe Iceman can read it.
The last rotten review was review number 95 and we're at 156 now, so it has gotten 61 fresh reviews in a row now.
Average rating is also looking good at 8.309 with 105 rated reviews.

It should be at (939.7/113=)8.3159(...) atm. (that's after review 165 by André Hereford).iEquinox, what's the average rating at now? How do you calculate it?
It should be at (939.7/113=)8.3159(...) atm. (that's after review 165 by André Hereford).
Calculate it by simply adding up all the scores and dividing by the amount of reviews that give ratings. The only thing you need to know is what each letter grade means.
As far as I'm aware, this is how RT translates letter grades into ratings out of 10:
A+ = 10
A = 10
A- = 9
B+ = 8
B = 7
B- = 6
C+ = 5
C = 4.25
C- = 3.375
D+ = 2.5
D = 1.67
