The Dark Knight BOF have 1st pic of the Batman's costume for TDK (sorta...)

Can I ASK A QUESTION TO ALL THE FANS HERE?

Why do you want so badly Batman to have a fabric type of suit, with grey tones and a black slip.

Wouldn't that look ridiculous on screen?

i dont.

i want exactly the same suit as the one before.

i want some continuity.

do you honestly think nolan really cares for a new suit? or do you think the warner execs might have been saying "change the suit so we can release a new batman figure"?

I don't, I prefer Begins suit but with updated suit done in TDK.

I just want some minor changes like they did with the Spider-Man suits in the movies. They seem to be same but they're different. So, minor updates and it'll be perfect.

I DO NOT WANT TO SEE BATMAN IN TIGHTS...

Eh, I doubt that. WB will release old and new Batman figures no matter what. Batman figures with purple and green and tangerine suits, even.

actually in nolans gotham it makes sense that bruce has in 2 or 3 a new suit or at least an updated suit.
if he gets a betetr suit he will use it.

i was first agains it but it makes now sense.

Sadly, it could come down to that. I could care less if he gets a new suit. In fact, I'd prefer he used what he had in BB.

This is a manip I found on the BOF boards. I think this is the best I've seen for a more fabric suit. It keeps the style of BB, but looks a little more skretchable.

Not practical in the least. If his cape gets caught in something, he'd want to be able to get rid of it quickly without choking to death or getting rid of his mask WITH the cape. That's why the clasps are there.

It also isn't practical to be fighting crime at night without some sort of night vision, but that didn't stop Nolan did it.

It only has to appear to be one piece. The attachment certainly doesn't have to look like s***. Also, that problem can be easily remedied by not writing a "caught cape" scene into the movie.

Those cowls actually belong to Batman's sidekick, Catman.

I would never lie on here!

alright i think they are real, kinda. just look at the box to the right, longer neck. the two in the first box don't look like they are gonna be used in filming, they do look like the rubies replicas. but the one on the right, maybe.

not all of us want that. i definitely dont want the kind Adam West wore, or even the material Christopher Reeve wore as Superman. its just that the BB suit, as good as it looked, still as room for improvement. what was particularly annoying about that suit was that it would do these "folds" whenever Bale would raise/ compress his arms. given that it supposed to be made of armour, it kinda breaks this illusion when seeing the rubber folds. so when word that the new suit is going to be made of a lighter, "chain-mail" like cloth, it looked like the solution to the problem has been found.

I don't know... There hasn't been a single suit I've seen thus far that I would consider close to being perfect. Fact of the matter is, I am not even sure of what I want anymore... What I do know is that it is not the Begins suit. When it comes to the above manip, there isn't anything about it that I particularly like. I am not too keen about the armor itself, nor do I like the belt... and even the mask itself annoys me. I know those 2 last ones are from the movie, but I don't like them. Most of the time, there are 2 extremes that are being presented on these boards and I think a new approach needs to be taken... Which one, I don't know.

Yeah, that's not a good look with the shoulder caving in on itself.

Its an okay manip, but I think they should just keep the begins suit, perhaps just slimmer and a better neckline. Other than that, the same suit.

On an offtopic note, Keith, how do you have any avvy, you don't have 300 posts yet? Did the hype change the rules?

but i dont think that this was a problem of the material. i think it was mroe problem tfrom designe around the shoulders. tehy should study the suit more before they build it.

I don't care, it rarely showed up in teh film, and when it did, it was so bried nobody noticed. I could go for a more streamlined suit though, as much as I loved the BB one.

this is also a good point.
