Superman Returns Bosworth nominated for a Razzie WTF?!?

Superman is gonna be in some trouble in one of these sequels and Jason is gonna bail him out using his superpowers. I have forseen it. :o Seriously, I would expect us to get some display(and a clear one at that) of Jason's powers in the sequel. I'm not saying he's gonna be in tights but I'm figuring he's gonna save the day in some manner.

LOL, didn't Wesyeed used to have an avatar like that? I remember reading his posts on here when I was a lurker but I haven't seen him here in awhile. I used to get a kick out of his posts on Jason.

There was a member who got his avatar from my GIF...maybe it was him. :woot:

I did not enjoy Kate Bosworth's version of Lane but she did not deserve to be nominated for a razzie. She wasn't that bad.

Singer wont show Jason's powers in a corny way though like other directors would, also, i'll bet the way he uses his powers is interesting as Singer likes to put some imagination into the use of powers, unlik say Brett Ratner or Tim Story.

You mean corny as in a kiddie killing a mother****er by throwing a piano at him busting his guts all over the wall.

Ummm, when was that? When did Singer use any imagination with powers in Superman Returns or even his X-Men films?

That is the problem with SR, there was no imagination whatsoever in any aspect of the film.

Er how about Magneto ripping a train in half in X1, or Rogue absorbing Wolverine's powers so the stab wound he just gave her healed not killing either of them or an unconscious Rouge subconsciously absorbing Wolverine's powers so all of his injuries come back. Or Nightcrawler taking out the White House staff with ease using teleportation, or Magneto breaking out of prison by forming small metal balls out iron injected into a guards blood, or Storm using a field of Tornado's to shake off two fighter jets, or Mystique infiltrating Styker's base by imitation Wolverine then Stryker, or Jean using her powers to simultaneously stop a wall of water and lift the X-jet, or Superman saving the plane, the bullett to the eye scene, or using heat vision to melt debri that is falling onto innocent people or Superman travelling above the clouds to be bathed in sunlight when in a weakened state.

PLEASE, one thing people cannot claim of Singer is that he doesnt use imaginative ways to display powers.

1. How do you know all of those things were Singer's idea? He didn't write it.

2. Brett Ratter had all that plus more in X3. So how are you saying he had no imagination

Well, if one is gonna grief to Singer for anything "bad" in his films then it's only fair to give him credit for anything that is good or imaginative. Otherwise, we would hardly be able to ever give credit for certain ideas to some directors as they are always working with a writer or a group of writers.

Singer has the ability to make a good film both visually and storywise. That is the only hope many of us can hold on to if we love the character of Superman. We are stuck with Singer unless he walks off due to studio interference, which he will get a lot of this time. It all starts with the script. Hopefully this time, we will get a good story that combines action and drama. There are actually a few moments in Superman Returns that are good.

Ratner had that in X3? PLEASE, Pyro and Iceman shooting at each other for 30 seconds is imaginative? Angel showing up out of nowhere to save his father from a fate Angel had NO IDEA was gonna befall him was imaginitive (not to mention Angel getting from NY to San Fran in that time was ridiculous), Magneto crushing and throwing cars was imaginative? Please, Magneto's prison escape was 50 TIMES more imaginative than ANY of the garbage action scene's in X3.

Yeah it was crap but you can't argue that it wasn't imaginative. Anything about superheroes is gonna be imaginative simply because it can't really happen.

Well by that logic nothing in movies is imaginative! Ha ha, come on. Magneto breaking out of the prison was much more imaginative than him re-locating the bridge IMO.

Yeah I loved that scene.

But The X-Men themselves are imaginative on Stan Lee's part

Oh great. Once again a conversation about the flaws of Superman Returns gets deflected into bashing X3. :whatever:

Both are decent at best to me.

My first viewing of X3, I loved it. Then it went down hill

After finally seeing SR, I can honestly say both SR and X3 suck equally.

If you read the whole conversation you would see that is not the case. Despite the fact that love SR and think X3 is in the bottom 3 CB movies ever.
