Probably less than you think. The man constantly scores when he writes a solo hero, yeah, (or a "partners" deal, like Cap & Falcon, Cage & Jessica, etc). You said this part! You thought about it, and you said it. But the thing about a team book is that there are many characters, and with so many, he can write numerous "solo" stories, focusing on different characters all the time, and as such, not run into the staleness that you so often berate him for on his solo books. Which, by the way, you totally rip him for. So basically, in your posts in this thread, you're arguing that Bendis should be REMOVED from team books, though you compliment New Avengers for being well-written, and KEPT on solo books, even though you hate USM. I think, good sir, that you are confused.

Kaka Barfsex. (to lower this post to my usual standard.)

No, I feel he should be kept on solo books that he works well on, and on books when he works well on, when he runs out of ideas and calls it a day, he should. His DAREDEVIL run was good despite going with the ol' Frank Miller schtick, "How can we ruin Murdock's life". Bendis made it work and juiced the hell out of DAREDEVIL. But he knew when to call it a day on DD and leave with his head held high. He was good on USM in the beginning, but obviously to me after 95+ issues he is out of steam, and that really isn't such a bad thing if he could only admit it and either get a co-writer or move on.

Most fans have an "all or nothing" belief in a writer's skill. That either a writer writes every story well or every story poorly, regardless of genre, subject, etc. While I admit that I am hardest on Bendis perhaps because he IS Marvel's #1 writer (I mean you bet your arse the opposing team always fouls the #1 player on the opposition), but he doesn't work the same on any and every title. He is best in solo books with some urban pulp/noir where he has a lot of flexibility with the continuity, but like any person he can run dry and it is in leaving the stage when we are still cheering that one knows true taste.

There is no shame in admitting after over 90 issues, you are tapped. But for god's sake, admit it! That is my issue with him on USM.

As for NEW AVENGERS, it is the #1 book in the industry, and at this point on hype alone an illustrated laundry list would sell. Bendis' CW issues and one-shot SPECIAL were the best issues of NA for me. The rest were mediocrity.

UPS, being the hard working company they are, decided my shop's orders were not important enough to deliver on time. Needless to say, instead of buying my books, I bought the Ares God of War trade. I find it very delicious, especially Foreman.

I updated my reviews, everybody. I know how important they are to you.

I so totally nailed you to the wall.

Just so you guys know, I don't read all of Dread's reviews. I just pick one and read that, and take issue with it. It always works! This time I picked New Avengers because I know he supplies lots of extraneous info and I wanted to know if #27 took place after CW and whether or not it spoiled anything, because I want to read my roommate's copy. Dread didn't answer me satisfactorily though, so a little help, someone?

dread, you really, really need to view this as the end of an era.

ultimate spider-man is over.

you need to drop the book. it's done. you completed the arc. stop buying it.

I did and feel better as a person.

Someone please tell about Action Comics Annual #10. It looked better than Action itself.

Upon reading NA 27 again(yeah it was the good) i came across something that puzzled me. Maybe you guys can help me with this question. The beginning starts with an email to Matt Murdock. Umm, Matt (Blind w/ super senses) Murdock? How is that possible?

blind people use a program that reads the e-mail to them. or, being matt murdock, he could print the e-mail and "read" it with his fingers.

Printing it out? thought that there would've been a cooler explanation, but that will work for me.

and by the way dread, since echo's appearence in new avengers, she's failed at her missions twice.

guess bendis does write non-perfect women.

It's Bendis. If it's as good an issue as you say it is, then he had to give fanboy's something to whine about.

A brail keyboard, also most people who get familiar with typeing dont even have to look at a keyboard to type, so once Matt memorized the keyboard I think it wouldn't be to hard for him to type an e-mail.

uh...have you read an issue of any spider-man book since he joined the avengers?

new digs, new status quo, new supporting cast? ring a bell?

how about asm specifically? arc titled, "NEW AVENGERS"? still no?

But his issues havent focused on the same things going on in NA. That Mysterio arc in FNHSM really tied into NA,:whatever: .

I find that hard to believe since you're still reading Ultimate X-Men.:wow:

The whole ultimate line SUCKS!
yes it's actually so bad at this stage that I'm willing to put up with darth's gloating when he reads this :(

No gloating. I only smile and shed a tear, for you have seen the light, I stand proud.

are you simple or something?

That was civil war dumbass. The new avengers ceased to exist the second it broke out. Look at the previous arc of amazing where he's just being starks ***** all day. I think that's tied into the avengers just a little...

Rooleyes only works if you've outsmarted another poster/know more than them about a subject. You qualify under neither heading

anyone who picked up DC this week want to do me a favor?

I've read some reports of a price drop for us Canucks, just wanted someone to clarify this, thanks.

As far as I know from Canadian friends, comics have dropped from $4.00 to $3.65 and 52 is 50 cents cheaper.
