THOUGHT:
52 Week 8 - What can I say? It only gets better as it goes.

Action Comics 840 - Feh. Started off strong but these last two parts felt pretty weak and a little too much like the reasons why I never read Supes before. Next month begins the new teams so I'll see what they have

All New Official Handbook 6 - As always, a valuable resource and fun trivia for even the oldest reader.

Amazing Spider-Man 533 (CW) - Probably the first Spidey in a long time (outside of Slott's) that generated a laugh out of me. That phone scene was priceless. Well, the lead in to Civil War is here and all I can say is at least they addressed the JJ issue. Had they gleamed over that I would've had to kick ass and take names. And yes, Flash Thompson is still going to be Puny Parkering. Not a dream, not a hoax. Unfortunately.

Avengers & Power Pack 3 - It takes a Marvel Age book for the Avengers to face off against an Avenger-sized threat: Kang! That's right, the stories tie in here as the Power Pack get in over their heads, and nary a ninja in sight!

Batman 654 - So the mystery comes to a close with yet another villain I never heard of and an emotional twist. Wasn't too bad, nice bridge. Hope we get to find out just what happened over the year they've been gone, though. While other books fill in those gaps, this one's still a mystery.

Blue Beetle 4 - Developing. Loved the Birds of Prey moment. That was pure comedy.

Catwoman 56 - Another interesting issue, but c'mon, Selena...a CAT-themed identity? These people need to learn to not adhere to their themes so strictly.

Civil War Front Line 2 (CW) - Wow, Iron Man's an *******. And as good as JJ was in ASM, that was handled even better here. Plus gotta love Ben's story at the end. Vast improvement over HoM.

Daredevil 86 - Prison riot! Bru's DD just gets better and better! Next; the conclusion!

Exiles 83 - Wrapping up some unfinished business. Nice way to cap off the last few arcs.

Fantastic Four 538 (CW) - Ask and ye shall recieve! Looks like the villains are gonna take advantage of this situation, plus Thor's hammer revisited! Not too bad, although felt more like a Thing issue than FF. Guess with his book ending gotta have center stage here for the time being.

Gargoyles 1 - Not bad. I admit it's been a while since I've seen the episode this stems from, but it did a pretty good intro job to get people caught up. Now I need to just get those DVDs...

Invincible 33 - The tie-in to last year's MTU is finally here! Pretty good issue with some surprise cameos and a nice shock ending. And thanks to some expository dialogue, I now remember who the purple guy is. Man, I hate being lost.

Moon Knight 3 - Art was confusing in this issue, was basically a recap of MK's origin with a little bit of the new story mixed in. NOW I can agree; this is moving pretty slow.

New Avengers 21 (CW) - So looks like this is where Cap'll form his team. Artwork sucked, and I'm kinda surprised; didn't seem like Bendis' usual style. People ACTUALLY talked normal. Although I think they got rid of the Falcon's jive talk a while ago (if he ever had it). See, Bendis? was that so hard?

Runaways 17 - Holy double take, Batman! This book definitely knows how to keep you wanting more! And after this ending, I definitely want more!

Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane 7 - The origin of MJ's infatuation concludes! I kinda dug the guest artist. Guess it was just to separate the tonality of the flashback from the here and now. I thoroughly enjoy this series and hope it goes on for a good long time.

Ultimate Spider-Man 96 - That's...it? That's the whole freakin' story?! That's Morbius' big ultimization introduction?! Oh, and of course, Spidey is unmasked AGAIN. Probably just to keep you from thinking Bendis hasn't gone soft from that one arc where he HASN'T been unmasked. Seriously, I forget whatever appeal this series had for me when it started.

Wolverine 43 (CW) - Art's still crap, but the writing is pretty damn good. Loving the return of Wolvie's 'tude. Although, unless it was just drawn wrong, ALL of Wolvie's fleshy parts were completely vaporized leaving just the skeleton...no way in HELL even his healing factor could recover from that one. Cool as it was.

X-Factor 8 (CW) - Syrin learns the secrets of HoM, the mystery of the Tryps deepen, and Quicksilver too! Another good issue. Love to see what comes next.

Young Avengers 12 - Great art, great story, great wrap up. My only complaint is the formatting. They shoulda made the book bigger to accomodate the story; all those long panels made the story feel a bit more rushed than it should've. As for the backup story? BRILLIANT! Totally ragged on Bendis' NA! I loved it! The Masked Marvel, huh? Wonder if he's gonna be popping up somewhere soon...

ACTION COMICS #840: 4/5
It's great. Just like the whole arc. The story may have peaked at about part 4 but it didn't drop off a whole lot at all, in my opinion. I'm hooked on Supes and hopefully Action will continue to be good because I love Pete Woods' art.

Dodson's cover for this ishnwas by far the worst of the 8. He had been doing a really good job but this one looks like typical Dodson crap to me. He fits Wonder Woman's interiors but his male characters typically look like crap.

CIVIL WAR FRONTLINE #2: 3/5
Pretty decent stuff, I might have given it another point if its little poetic history lesson story was as good as the one in #1. But it wasn't.

amazing spider-man 533 is prob the best spidey read ive had in while....

Got: ASM #533,Black Panther #17,FF #538,DD #86,Moon Knight #3,New Avengers #21,Young Avengers #12

Thoughts up later.

All I've read so far was the new Daredevil and already it's my pick of the week, that ending with the Punisher just got me more pumped for the conclusion!

I got Black Panther #17 in the mail today. More set up for the wedding. Luke tries to set up a bachelor party for BP, to which BP declines...until he finds out Storm's getting a Bachelorette party. Good to see Thing, Namor, Wolvie, and a bunch of others there to drop a catch phrase when getting a look at the bootylicious Brazilian strippers. Imperious Rex indeed. But, that whole thing wasn't BP's style, so he just left. All that booty, gone to waste. What a shame. :(

Anyway, we see the white Gorilla guy getting his supporters together, That crazy chick get her ass kicked by Storm for running around telling people she was getting hitched to BP, and T'challa's cousin (Who, if you remember was possessed by some body jumping entity way back in the first arc) was attempting to get into BP's body through one of the strippers (which of course, was a wash because BP loves his future wife. :) )

Overall, I give it a 3 out of 5. It was okay. I really wish things would pick up, and they probably will with the wedding next ish. Cap and IM in the same room? Oh, the s**t will hit the fan.

Hopefully, Hudlin doesnt drop the ball on that one.

Wow, what a crucial error  Got a good book confused with.....well you know.

Yeah, so Wolverine can regenerate from just a skeleton? That really takes the fun out of the character.

In order of quality

Daredevil: Picked it up just recently, has blown my mind. It's like reading a Superhero Prison Break, awesome
Seeing Bullseye shooting with his eyes closed made
made my day 10/10

New Avengers: Solo story about Cap and his whole take on the "War". Maybe the best NA I've read, however the art was pretty ****ty 9/10

Young Avengers: Wow, this book would be sick, if it came out without delays. Kinda suffered from Ultimates syndrome, where I had forgotten just what the hell was going on. Excellent read, better art 9/10

Amazing Spider-Man: Borrowed my roomates copy, and looks like Spidey is starting to display some intelligence and an actual set of balls again, something convinently written out of the stories latley in order to make the whole unmasking angle fit. Keep writing Spidey like this Straz and you might see me buying again 8.5/10

Batman: Stretched out waaaaaaaaaaaay to long for my liking, I mean Harvey Dent becomes Two Face again, it didn't need eight issues to tell it. Lame villian reveal, yet slightly redeemed for the twist involving Tim Drake. 8/10

Wolverine: Wolvie shows how ridiculous his healing factor is once again, (Although a very cool scene, but didn't Frank kill him in an almost Identical way in PKTMU?) Whatever, some cool scenes and quatable quotes, leading to the inevitable brawl next issue. Ramos sucks, He was bad on Peter Parkers, he's worse here. 7/10

Ultimate Spider Man: Was this Ultimate Morbius? Seemed more like a two parter vampire storyline with no real purpose. Morbius is a hero here, he prevents Urich from becoming a Vampire (By bitting him again?:confused:) Than Peter loses his mask, and goes all emo with MJ. Next, CLONE SAGA! 7/10

Fantastic Four: So looks like Ben is going to the rebels, even though all promotional material is making it seem like he's with the registration. Thors back, which side is getting him? We need to have a superhuman draft here

Front Line: Iron Man is a gigantic deuche bag, 'though no side of the War is good or bad". Right. Excellent third story, as the **** is gonna hit the fan thanks to a hero "Breaking the rules" 6.5/10

X-Factor: To be honest, I only picked it this up to look up on everyone's favorite Son of M. Good to see Layla Millar has moved on past her Bendis Deus Ex Machina. Spider Man is written once again as a total ******. "Duh, pretty Red Head is asking me about classified House of M... already told SHIELD about it, why not her?". Maybe because your already married to a red head!? Or the fact that Deadpool likes this girl!? Didn't really understand what was going on, and will most likely peace once Pierto does. No grade

Does young avengers do any kind of explaining on how patriot has powers? Is he still on the mutant gene or did cap give him a transfusion? Whats the deal.

 Yeah, I was happy with that. I'm glad they gave a reason for him calling Tony Boss all the time, even though it seemed like a BS one.

DC
52 Week #8 - Lex Luthor, Steel, Green Arrow, good stuff. It's the first thing I grab when I go to the store, and it's the first thing I read when I get back. Also the last thing I read. 8/10

Batman #654 - Hey, the arc's finally over. This issue was really slow, but the whole arc was good so I guess it evens out. 7/10

Blue Beetle #4 - Oracle, and a 16 year old. Hey, someone actually acts like their age in a comic for once. Good stuff. 8/10

Ion #3 - Eh, it was ok. Ghosts of past, and Kyle finally accepting his stuff. Not the best, the art wasn't that friendly either. 5/10

Specter #2 - Kinda slow, though it explains what's going on better. Building up to him having to take his sons life, which'll be good stuff in the next issue. Though thats it =/ 6/10

Action Comics #840 - The begining was good. Then it got boring. Kinda like Superman Returns :( Though theres a new team on next, so we'll see whats going on. 6/10

Marvel

Civil War Frontline #2 - Can't remember it, because AMS and that were pretty much similar. They were both decent though, the art was good too. 7/10.

Moonknight #3 - Slowwwwwwwwwwwww 3/10

Spiderman #533 - I do remember the phone part, and him actually telling off Stark. Kinda awesome if you ask me. One of the best comics this week IMO. 9/10

Anni Ronan #3 - Boring, slow, I'de drop it, but theres only one more in the series, so I'm just gonna rough it. 2/10.

Isaiah Bradley gave him blood.

Yeah, but it would have been awesome if the Sentry used his vague healing powers and somehow powered Eli up.
