Bourne 4...

The way I see it, they won't come back unless they have a good story worth telling. Greengrass and Damon aren't the types to just do more dumb **** for money. They are invested in this series and characters.

But if it is the other way around we will be able to tell.

However it would be good if this was the end, because it ended on a popular high note. Very rarely does a third movie do that. If you do a fourth movie you risk messing with the positive energy people left Ultimatum feeling.

It's amazing the third movie made more than the other two. 200 million plus. I don't even think James Bond has ever done that in the US.

I'd like another movie...but maybe 5 or 6 years from now. Have Bourne start a normal life with a wife and kid...and have him come out of retirement for one last adventure. Or something

Well guess it´s gonna happen afterall.

Universal Plans Bourne 4 and More

Variety has a fairly extensive article about the future of Universal Studios following the end of the writers strike, as they plan to increase production including a number of high-profile projects and franchises they hope to start and relaunch in the next year, including the first news that Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon have agreed to do a fourth movie for the studio.

You can read the entire article here, but some of the key points of interest include the Bourne 4 news:

More recently, Shmuger and Linde landed Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon for a fourth "Bourne" movie, even though the director and star seemed ready to wrap it up after three pics.

I still take it with a grain of salt until I see an announcement that confirms that it will start filming. With that said, movie studios always plan to do more films, and usually, three things happen. First, sometimes, it actually gets made. Second, it gets "planned," then is never heard of again. And third, it starts pre-production, then stays in development hell.

I have yet to see any of these movies but for some reason I wouldn't mind a fourth installment.

I just can't get into it as much as I'd like right now. I'd like to sit down some Saturday or Sunday and watch all three.

Of course, I tried doing that with The Matrix two weeks ago and fell asleep.

Dammit. They ended it perfectly with Ultimatum. I guess it's good that they got Greengrass and Damon back, but seriously.....what else is there to do with it?

I have no problems with a 4th as long as they move away from the comfort zone, I'd love to see the character in a different kind of scenario.

They need to make Jason Bourne a hero in this one. Show that he's trying to move on and use his skills for some good in the world.

I thought the same thing. After watching Ultimatum, it's just a perfect ending to the trilogy. I can't really think of where the writers can go story wise, but hey, I'm sure they could think of something. :yay:

I'd would be interesting as to how they have Bourne be after the events of the third film. Count me in.

I have faith they would make a good sequel but i have a feelig it will be talked about but never actually get off the ground.

The fact that Greengrass and Damon find the story at least halfway decent does shine *some* light on the film. I loved the third, hopefully I'll love the fourth.

I just watched the movies for the very first time, back-to-back. What a kickass films. I'm little disappointed in myself for not seeing these in the cinema, but it was really nice to watch all three back-to-back. The ending of Ultimatum is just so cool; Nicky smiles and Extreme Ways starts playing.

I wouldn't mind a fourth one if it is as good as the previous three.

That's what happens in the books. Actually by the fourth Book, Bourne was in his late 40's, and he could still kick major arse:)

so i wonder if this wil be called the bourne legacy or the other one? (isnt there another one?)

I'm glad they are doing a 4th movie, i was one of the one's dissapointed in the 3rd movie as i expected some more answers. The big revelation that he volunteered for the program was something that was obvious from the start for me.

It would be nice to know a bit more about David Webb before he became Jason Bourne.

THE BOURNE LEGACY LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
