Boy knocks girl off of bike with basketball for insulting him

Always look at the reverse situation. If it was a girl knocking a boy off his bike after he had insulted her, I'm thinking most folk would laugh and say she was awesome and he deserved it.

He did react a bit too quickly there as if he was thinking about doing it depending on their reaction, I'd go as far as to say they probably have an existing feud going on judging by reactions on both sides. He's an ass for being violent though. That was some nasty fall too, I hope she is okay.

No doubt we'll get the revenge video clip in the future where she and her friends break his legs and kill his dog.

Girl was rude but dribble Pete shouldnt have thrown the ball at her. Appropriate response wouldve been to tell her to **** herself as well.

I really dont like the notion that she deserved being assaulted for saying something rude.

Agree completely.

They're both rude brats.

Amazing shot by the kid though.

yeah, I'll go with that... and probably with a remark with a bit more crude to it, just to shock her so she doesn't mouth off again...

I'm not even sure the girl who got hit is the one who cursed. It sounds like the girl who cursed is the same voice of the girl who started yelling at the dick weed after he tossed the ball.

We don't know if there is any history between the kids in this video. The boy surely wasn't being innocent in his "Hey ladies" - it sounded like your stereotypical stuck up "look at me, I don't give a f" greeting. My immediate thought was that there is some history of animosity there already, and his greeting was an "F you" of it's own.

In any case, his action was ENTIRELY uncalled for. The poor girl could (and likely did) suffer some serious injuries from a fall like that. If I were that girl's parents, I'd press charges.

I don't see how anyone would find this funny. Let's say she cracks her head on the pavement and gets brain damage would that still be funny? I don't care if she responded with insults towards his ill grandma or whatever. Words never incite violence. If you retaliate with violence be willing to take the consequences. Obviously this is a teen probably 13-14, so penalties won't be severe, but if this was an adult charge him with assault and jail time.

That kid was definitely throwing the ball regardless of what the girls would say. He was winding up before she said anything and his friend had his phone out to record it, not including the one who actually recorded the video.

Well, that joke was fun while it lasted.
Hopefully.

Anyways... I can't say a lot of people here when they were kids wouldn't have thrown the basketball as well (or in the girls case to a boy saying hello give a bad response being immature like he's trying to give you cooties or something). Now a better example would be 8 ball jacket man (viral video from like a year ago). Not a nasty person but reacted as best he felt he was able to in the moment. That I feel was justified. This kid, not so much really. Besides, we don't know much beyond a small clip and these 2 could've met beforehand but by the video alone I just look at it as what would happen if they both went before a school principal. The boy would get suspended most likely (assuming no serious damage occurred) and the girl would probably get reprimanded with something else or be let off the hook entirely due to getting a ball thrown at her.

I disagree, I don't know many people who, even as kids, would think this is okay. Maybe all the people I know we're just raised not to react with violence and just let it go.

Having said that, it seems that they already had beef given his tone saying 'hello ladies', their immediate reaction of exasperation, and him winding up to throw/them filming it knowing they were going to do something, before the girls even react. These boys were completely in the wrong and should be disciplined and taught this is a childish and wrong way to react to a situation, not something people on the internet should applaud. That's a horrible message to send to young people.

My previous post seems to have been slam dunked into oblivion.

I think I was misunderstood. The "hopefully" at the beginning of the post was quoting someone earlier about saying I was hoping something was just a joke and not about something serious (just gonna leave it at that).

Anyway, onto the bottom part of the paragraph, I was using the incident that happened with a guy wearing an 8 ball jacket that went viral about a year ago and caused a lot of controversy as an example of someone who doesn't appear to be a nasty person using physical force as something to compare to what the original poster put up of the boy throwing the basketball. The guy with the 8 ball jacket seemed emotional and felt bad about slapping a girl as opposed to laughing to himself in satisfaction whenever he thinks of it (something I find mean spirited people tend to do when they justify something to themselves). It's an incident I feel is a good example of when I'd side with the person using physical force ( he did only what he had to do nothing beyond what was necessary). The incident is reported here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTIAuj3pHgk(a full length video of the actual incident can of course be googled online too).

As for the kid with the basketball, I made note of the fact that the boy who threw the basketball was recording for some reason and we didn't see the context of everything. Also, I tried to compare what would happen if they did go to the principal's office as an analogy of the consequences his actions would entail.

Man kids are cussing earlier and earlier these days!

Alright, grandpa. :o

What did we learn from that New York experiment video?
If a lady passes by, and you, a random strange dude, just say 'Hey Lady' as she passes by and all you do is sitting on your hide, THAT, is sexual harassment.

That monster deserved the '**** you' he received. :o

Someone posted this video before.

Thread discussing it is gone.

Context Aziz... CONTEXT. I don't want to rehash the whole thing but... In the original video that was shown, most definitely that is harassment. It's not just saying "hello" or "hi" it's circumstance and meaning behind it. But I don't want to derail this thread. Just so you know I see this sort of thing in NYC all the time. It is not akin to simply a friendly "hello" on the street someone.

I wouldn't, unless she broke a bone. Court has bigger problems to deal with. but I see where you're coming from, and the boy's action was uncalled for. I'd talk to the sheriff of whatever town that is, instead.

The boy's a ********, but he's got good aim.

I'm still not sure the video is entirely authentic.
