Bradley Cooper, Joel Edgerton and Lee Pace in an upcoming Marvel Studios film?

yes!!!!! lee pace

i've been pulling for this for 5 years lol.

but it won't be iron fist, dr strange maybe

Ant-Man, Cable, Iron Fist, Dr Strange, Ka-Zar, Vision and Punisher are all properties they've mentioned they want to develop. So it may be one of them, Ant-Man or Iron Fist seem like the most likely for those actors.

There's also the possibility that it's not for a leading character, like a role in a Thor, Iron Man or Cap sequel.

edgerton could be Quartermain, or Crossbones or Donald Blake

Very interesting...would like to know the credibility of the source.

But if it's accurate, and we're assuming that it's a single role that all 3 are "auditioning" for (or being asked to audition for), I see several possibilities:

*Daredevil --- unlikely. Any one of the three would be great as Matt, but since the report specifically states Marvel Studios, you can rule out Fox or Sony.

*Iron Fist --- unlikely. Danny was on the to-do list a long time ago, but there hasn't been any buzz on the project going forward for years. Only way I could see this happening is if, after all the recent buzz surrounding Luke Cage, that Marvel has opted to go the Heroes For Hire route and kill two birds with one stone (so to speak), and team up Power Man and Iron Fist (which is exactly the way God intended it to be).

*Dr. Strange --- unlikely. Doc's high-up on the to-do list right now, and will likely be one of the 2014 releases. But with lots of other names in the hat, including Patrick Dempsey actively campaigning for the role, seems far more likely they'd go with him. Or at least someone with darker hair....these three actors have lighter hair color. Yeah, I know a dye job is easy and cheap enough, but it seems like they're specifically looking for someone with lighter hair color....someone who "looks the part."

*a villain --- likely. The thing is, Marvel Studios' casting record so far has been to use BIG names for supporting roles --- either as villains or as friends, and they've tended to cast smaller names in the actual superhero roles. Now, Cooper is a big name, but those other two aren't (yet....but will likely "breakout" this year with juicy roles in The Thing and The Hobbit), so....

*Hank Pym. Likely. Put all three side by side with a pic of Hank Pym --- especially Ultimate Hank --- and you've got your Ant-Man/Giant-Man/ Yellowjacket. We know Cornish has turned in what appears to be the final draft of the script, and it's probable that there'll be a push on to get the iconic couple of Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne into the next Avengers movie (Whedon already mentioned that he was trying to get Wasp into the first movie, but just couldn't get it done).

So my money's on the little guy. Er, giant guy. Whatever. :)

I'm surprised Kevin Pennington isn't on this list. Marvel needs to give the guy a role.

Wouldn't you need to know what the list is even for to be surprised he's not on it? Haha. It might be a role he doesn't even fit.

I actually don't mind Bradley Cooper as Iron Fist... although I haven't seen any movie with him in it that I like...

Kevin Pennington is good for any Marvel role! He's that versatile an actor.

Cooper and Edgarton could work in an Iron Fist movie. Not as Danny Rand but his father, Wendell Rand. For Danny I'd imagine they go for someone much younger...Will be interesting if it's Iron Fist related, was exactly a year ago Marvel hired a screenwriter for the movie, perhaps things are moving forward.

Cable is a FOX property.

There will be no Blake as we know him in Thor and if there were it would be Ryan Kwanten.:oldrazz:

heeellllooo Doctor!

But seriously they aren't going to take away the bulk of Chris' screentime.

They may all be up for different roles, but I think they'd all be great Reed Richards, except maybe Joel Edgerton.

So Iron Fist is 16?

I kinda hope they do a Heroes for Hire film instead of separate lesser known films. I think team action films tend to be a lot cooler and you have chance for interesting dynamics and you don't have to rely on one virtually unknown character to carry the film

check my sig, he'd be and awesome Mr. Fantastic.

years ago i wanted him to be Pym, if that's what he's up for then

Yeah he really has a good look.

Bradley Cooper oozes with screen charisma which you can't buy and he can lead a film which I don't know if Pace can do.

But if it were announced that Pace is Richards I would be cool with it.

The more I think about it, the more I prefer Edgerton for the Role of Pym. That's a great combination.

Bradley Cooper might be Hank Pym. I want him as Daredevil though. Iron Fist is too actioney, Strange is reserved for older actors.

Iron Fist needs to be in a movie with Luke Cage.

I don't think Iron Fist's "powers" are that spectacular. I've seen martial arts movies where people have displayed the same "powers" and have been able to smash through solid doors and are martial arts experts as well. It's not really a super power as such. Iron Fist wouldn't look that different from these guys.

I just can't see Pace as Richards just because, at 32, I don't think he is old enough to really portray Richards. That said, I wouldn't mind him for Dr. Strange or Pym who I think can play a little younger if need be.

Yeah, but the world of Iron Fist is spectacular. Tibetan mountain city that's actually portal to several worlds. By itself it's like Mortal Kombat.

Age is so subjective in film. They can make him look older

Reed was in his early 30s when the F4 started. He's about 10 years older than Sue, who was 20 in F4 #1.
