I've been reading the major forums on Internet, and looks like much people just hate the Justice League movie because it doesn't have Brandon Routh and Christian Bale.

So, i came to my fellow hypers with this question: If Routh and Bale we're envolved on ''Justice League'', would you support the project?

No.

For me, Nolan's Batman just doesn't fit into the JLA style universe and so should be kept seperate. You could maybe say the same for Singer's Superman, but it isn't as strong.

No. Nolan's Batman is too far removed from fantasy.

Eh whatever. If anything the Batman movies are hyper-realistic, not realistic. I think the version of Two-Face basically proves that.

I wonder what moviegoing audiences would rather see at the end of the day. Show me that kind of poll.

Yes. It would add some weight to it and show the public that W.B. is serious about it.

Yes.

Batman is not realistic in any kind of way, so saying its removed from fantasy is ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm kind of getting tired of using that as some sort of ammo.

Also, I think for just about any good super hero or comic book movie you would want it to look like it could you know REALLY happen in the world we live in. That doesn't mean you can't do fantastic sort of things in it.

Schumacher made the Batman movies very cartoony, goofy, and ridiculous. I imagine while a JL movie would have to have some fantastic visuals in it, you would still want it to look feasible.

Dark Knight never at all tried to really give obligatory backstory or depth to the character of the Joker. He simply existed. He was almost like a mythological force.

The approach to Two-Face was almost downright biblical. But it never went into the territory that the ridiculous Tommy Lee Jones/Schumacher interpretation did.

Why would a Justice League movie need all sorts of colorful silliness?

I wouldn't support it if it was still treading the lines of camp and cheese. I think in order for it to work we need something similar to the original script because I can't buy Nolan's Batman fighting aliens and other super creatures. With villains like Talia Al Ghul and Maxwell Lord then it could work... so I don't get why WB had no intention of even trying to get Bale and Routh in the film in the first place.

Bale refused and they tought but only Routh would confuse the audience, so, they decided to hire new actorts for the JLA franchise.

Absolutely! I think both can display good chemistry onscreen. Especially with how they met at the MTV 2006 Movie Award. Not to mention Bale want to work with Routh someday. :word:

I think a lot of you are not considering the fact that these guys might not want to do this together

Do you work for George Miller?

That's not anything unheard of in the entertainment industry.

Actors always have to work with people that they might not care for, but it's their job.

I doubt Routh who is hardly getting any big starring roles at the moment would not be against acting opposite Bale in a movie.

Nolan got Batman and Wolverine in a great movie together.

They don't have to if the don't want to and in a lot of situations (more than none) it is the case.

Oh really?
Where has it been the case?

You know if the Screen Actors Guild had voted to strike, there would have been thousands of actors who would have refused to work. Don't try to play coy. If an actor didn't want to work he would just not do it. Nobody can make someone do what they don't want to do.

Not playing coy at all. And the strike would have been actors banding together as opposed to fighting each other.

No one is suggesting that they will be made to do as they are asked. What I am saying is a tiff between actors isn't a problem for the higher ups. If it's too much of a problem, actors quit and are replaced, or they be professional, do their job, then finish working with actors who they don't like. No one really cares what goes on behind the scenes besides the ones involved, but as long as they don't bring it into the movie, there's no problems having them film together.

And just as each individual agrees to strike they also make the decision not to. That is why some of them become scabs.

I think you were saying that actors had to work with people they did not care for because it was their job. Here are some other examples where that is not always the case:

I don't see where you're going with this.

Those links are actors refusing to work with animals, not fellow actors.

Bale and Routh's involvement is only part of it. I don't want to see a JLA movie geared toward ******ed tweens (or what soulless corporate suits think tweens are into), with pathetic casting for other important roles such as Wonder Woman or the main villain.
