Hank going after Walt blindly without realizing the consequences for himself and his family, basically quitting his job to do so(yet somehow his bosses do nothing), trusting a junkie, bringing only one other gun to take down Walt and thinking nobody else would show up, the cocky premature touchdown dance phone call to Marie. Skyler going along with Marie, refusing to go with Walt, actually letting Jr. call the police. It goes on with Marie, Saul, Huell, Meth Damon, Jack, Lydia, Mike, and Gomez. It's like they all went on meth instead of just being on a show about it. The acting has been spectacular, but the writing has gotten lazy.

Lazy writing? Wow, sorry you're insane. Ozymandias was one of the best hours of television of any series ever. As others have pointed out most of the things you described isn't "lazy writing" but bad decisions that resulted from character flaws, such as Walt's greed, hubris and arrogance.

And Skyler "going with Marie" and "letting Jr call the police" is one of your ridiculous nitpicks? Lol I don't know if you're a troll or just one of those annoying, diehard team Walt fanboys.

Exactly, if I (or anyone else) had 80 million dollars stashed around somewhere, and someone managed to send me a photo if the whereabouts of said money and threatened to burn it all to the ground, the last thing I'm gonna do is study the picture really, really hard and check out minor details. lol.

The only time I thought BB was guilty of not-so-great writing was the plane crash in season 2. I realized it was meant to show the indirect consequences of Walt's actions and the season had been building towards it, but it still felt a bit deus ex machina. Besides that, BB has had few weak spots.

I'm sure Deus Ex Machina is a valid criticism of writing, but God, every time I hear it, I just want to punch someone in the face. :o

So what should I say instead? It felt like an intrusive plot-device that literally "came out of the sky" meant to tie up loose ends.

Yeah, I agree that the Season 2 ending was the only thing that felt a little odd. I mean, it was still good, just... strange.

Also, I know this has been asked, but how much time passes between when the disappearing guy sets up Walt at the cabin and when he returns to Walt looking like a homeless man like he does in the flash forward? I thought it had been only a month (though I'm not sure how much sense that really makes) since I vaguely remember the disappearer saying something along the lines of "see you next month" once he gave Walt his little tour. Or am I mistaken?

The host of talking Bad said 3-4 months, I think.

We should all be ashamed that none of us guessed that the new hair was the result of cold weather. :o

So Jesse was prisoner of those psycho-****s for 3 or 4 months? No amount of AmeriCone Dream can make that situation better. :(

He's gotta be truly emotionally and physically ****ed. He essentially has nothing to live for at this point.

Of course he doesn't. In Ozymandias he was begging for his life basically, now he's asking them to kill him.
