Breaking Bad - - Part 11

I have not once ever felt for Todd. And the only time I felt sorry for Gus was during his flashback in Mexico.

I don't think "feel" is the right word. So far Todd has been a character in control, so there's not a lot to be sympathetic about. The one time you felt for Gustavo was when he wasn't in control. He was just some dude with fried chicken recipes that were more valuable at the time than his partner's meth recipes.

I think that might be selling Ozymandias a bit short. It wasn't better than Ozymandias, but it was pretty much a perfect penultimate episode. I couldn't ask for more. But Ozymandias might've been one of the most heartbreaking hours of television ever.

Side note, I hope Marie gets her due in Felina. Considering the loss she just went through I think she got sold a bit short here. I would've liked to have been a bit more privy to where her head was at and how much she was blaming her sister.

For the first time since "The Sopranos" won in 07, a series has won the Best Drama Emmy that actually deserved it.

No show's ever deserved that Emmy more, as far as I'm concerned.

No other show since The Sopranos have truly deserved that award. Go BB!!! :D

Why does Modern Family always win in their category? lol

And well deserved indeed!

Modern Family has become a media darling, basically.

Now that Gretchen and Elliot are back in the fold, and possibly soon to be poisoned, I wonder if we'll get a little bit better understanding of what drove Walt to leave Gray Matter. We know he had a relationship with Gretchen in grad school and he left the company soon after its founding. Maybe I'm missing some subtleties that flew over my head in those early scenes involving Walt and E&G.

As for Marie, man, I don't what's left for her except to adopt Walt Jr and Holly. Which wouldn't be a bad ending for Marie.

Because it straddles the line between safe/broad and genuinely witty, making it perfect for the Academy. It's basically the sitcom equivalent to your typical Oscar-bait-y movies: Good enough to please the most viewers to some degree, but not "The Best" by any stretch of the imagination.

Mr Kane52630.........

I need Walt replaced with a clip of Gale from his music video, and I need it in 100x100 avvy format.

Do this and you'll have my eternal gratitude.

That's above my pay grade but I'll see if I can make it happen. :o

Did anyone almost start to cry/tear up during the phone conversation between Walt JR. and Walt?

Yep, and in that last moment when he was clinching his fist, while sitting at the bar, he had that crazy Heizenburg look in his eyes. It was at that moment that Walter White died and all that is left is Heizenburg!
People say this like 3 times a season.

It's not selling Ozymandias short, it's just praising this one even more :p
Breaking Bad is classic for following up the BANG episodes with episodes that explore the consequences of those BANGs. This is exactly what this was, and it was better than I could have ever hoped for.

Talking Bad, jeez, Andrea's death was Todd's doing but Jesse's fault because he was the guy that targeted her in a recovery group, tried to get her back on meth so he could make money off her.

That scene with Badger at the bus stop with the fake Heisenberg was so funny. That's one thing that these final episodes are obviously missing is the humor, appropriately so. Even Saul only managed some light jabbing at the vacuum cleaner repair front.

I'm really rooting for Walt after that ending, but I still want him to receive his due punishment. Heisenberg lives.

I've been reading these forums throughout the last batch of episodes, but have yet to chime in. However, tonight I will finally speak up.

I am SO extremely excited/nervous/terrified regarding the finale. I have to admit, I really want Jesse to take Todd down, and I want Walt to get to Jack and the rest. I just have a really bad feeling that Vince Gilligan is going to do things quite a bit differently than the way we expect him to.

Talking Bad has been great all season but the best they could do this episode was badger?!
