Yes, but he now believes he's committed the act of killing someone else he loved. Whatever good memories he has of Walt are now tarnished by the idea that, aside from all the other stuff, he murdered his uncle.

But Walt didn't kill Hank.

As much as I love making fun of discount Matt Damon on this show, this was his best performance hands down. He's so creepy and there's never any telling what his mindset is. One second he's serving Jesse ice cream, the next [BLACKOUT]he's executing his girl[/BLACKOUT] in front of him. Then his threat to [BLACKOUT]Skylar[/BLACKOUT] was terrific. Then the next morning he's dressed for his little date with Lydia with a smile on his face. A real psychopath that guy.

Yeah Todd has emerged as the series' scariest villain for me.

Well Todd want's the meth for Lydia and Uncle Jack originally would like to retire with the money they already have , I'm just thinking if the deal changes in a way Jack does not want to keep cooking Lydia will use Todd's crush to her advantage.

I knew going in that this couldn't top "Ozymandius," which is up there with the best episodes of TV ever. But this was excellent TV in its own right, and masterfully sett he stage for the finale.

Last week, I said that the one thing I missed from Ozymandius, that I really wanted to see before the end, was Saul get a proper send-off. And so the opening here made me very happy, I loved those scenes with him and Walt in the basement together - Saul not a lawyer anymore, and trying (and failing) to address Walt not as a client, but a fellow human being. If this is the last we see of him - and I think it is, until Better Caul Saul at least - I for one am happy he escaped without getting killed or put in prison.

I feel so bad for Jesse now. I was shouting at the screen during his escape attempt, and when the nazis caught him climbing the fence, I had to pause and walk away for a few minutes, which is not something I typically do while watching TV. As others have said, it NEEDS to be him who takes Todd out now.

And Walt trapped in his own kind of hell.... If Bryan Cranston losing to Jeff Daniela at the Emmys wasn't already galling, his performance here further hammered home how far above every other actor out there Cranston is. Heartbreaking.

And THAT ending, with THAT theme tune kicking in.... we're in for a killer finale. I simultaneously can't wait, and am utterly dreading this ride being over.

i want jesse to rip todd apart next week, he is such a piece of S***

another amazing episode, was begging for more but alas the end credits means another week of waiting for the end

this series is perfection, really sad to see it coming to an end

So I think it's safe to say that Elliot and Gretchen were lying through their teeth about Walt's "contribution" to the company?

in the BB world they have a company. they dont know what we as the viewer know about Walt. to them he is a Drug kingpin and its all over the news. they have stock holders and their company is losing money because of the rumors. it was the right thing to do on Charlie Rose. to make it clear to the world that GM is not connected to White.
i dont think that Elliot and Gretchen belive that they did all the work to get the company a Nobel prize.

Wasn't Skylar saying to Walt to kill Jesse a few episodes as well?

I don't think Lydia is any worst that Skyler in that regard

Walt's lies and secrets got so bad that even if he told junior what happened to Hank he probably wouldn't believe him now.

I'm sure the students in that school have noticed

I gotta say, I'm sure some people will say this episode was a letdown after Ozymandias, but I thought for a "setup" episode, this was masterful. For so many reasons. I've long wanted to see the Heisenberg case become national news and wanted to see Elliot and Gretchen/Grey Matter paid off in some way, so this episode was very satisfying for me in that sense.

It was incredible when the main theme kicked in at the end.

I think i have liked it more than Ozymandias

I'm gonna laugh if Walt has moved past killing the nazis and is coming back to take out Gretchen and Elliot.

I really doubt he'll go after them, in least that he'll try to kill them.

It definitely will.

Because they stole his empire. His legacy. Everything he left behind. Not only his money, but the "brand" that is Blue Meth. Everything he built.

And what Gretchen and Elliot said has motivated him to go take it back.

Because before he heard what they said and everything about Blue Meth still spreading, Walt was gonna give himself up.

But now. Oh boy.

I'm pretty sure he's about to unleash the full wrath of Heisenberg on them.

ALL of them.

Gretchen and Elliot too.

I doubt it, they were saying that in order to protect their company, the last thing Gretchen said was Basically that Before Heisenberg Walt was a great person.

Man, assuming jesse lives through all this, where does he go from here? He's got to be so emotionally and mentally broken by now.

I felt Jesse was always sort of self destructive and all this bad stuff his gone through would probably make it worst. Jesse was already asking the nazis to kill him when he got caught.

I think if he survives he will probably turn himself into the cops or go back on drugs and OD.

I loved the main theme playing at the end of the episode. It felt like 'here it is, the beginning of the end'.

The Ricin is obviously for Walt. After he gets his revenge, he'll drink it and die. He'll go out on his terms.

Am I imagining things or did Vince Gilligan actually come out and say that the ricin isn't for Walt?
