Either that, or I turn you in.

If he could do it all over again, Jesse would've chosen door number 2 right then and there.

Walt may have found a way to finally get his money to his family but the way he does it, terrorizing the Schwartz's, is horrendous. Despite what Walt had said in the past those two were essentially innocent. They were deceitful in distancing themselves from Walt's contribution to the company but it was completely understandable. That scene has a comedic bent to it after the fact but that Walt feels a sense of satisfaction in that is one final indictment of his character. He was clearly went to their mansion for spite as well as logistic reasons.

No, not necessarily. The thing about Gretchen and Elliot is the truth's never been properly revealed. Gretchen and Elliot completely screwing over Walt is equally as plausible as Walt imagining it and screwing himself, but blaming them.

I don't think they're innocent though. Gretchen especially seems like a bit of a manipulator and snob.

Given Walt's delusion and self-esteem issues I think it's reasonable to think that the problem was mostly on his behalf. After all, they did offer him a job and to pay for his treatment. But even if that's not the case they didn't deserve to have their lives threatened, even if it was a false threat.

Eh, its for a good cause and they'll be fine. I'd rather they be scared for a year or two than Skyler, Flynn and Holly be destitute.

You're probably right, but as far as Heisenberg's sins go, this is pretty small potatoes.

In the finale, anybody else found it too convenient for Walt to not only find an unlocked car, but have the car keys in it as well?

I suppose, but like I said, the fact that he feels victorious over it shows there's no redemption to it.

A high school chemist apparently built an automated machine gun platform that mowed down the entire neo-nazi crew that happened to be all gathered in the exact same room in the right spots, coincidentally leaving the two "main" nazis alive just long enough to be killed by the shows two protagonists.

In terms of convenience and implausibility i'd rate that low on the ladder for that episode.

Todd wasn't shot because he was on the floor trying to get Walt off of Jesse.

Jack was shot but survived just long enough to let us know that Walt truly had changed and didn't give a s*** about money anymore. It's a contrivance, but it made for a damn good scene.

Same with the car. It's lucky as hell that Walt found a car unlocked, with the keys inside, and the cops happened to just drive by rather than stop and check it. Or it's not luck. After all, what was Walt doing in the car? Praying. He'd come so far that he would actually set aside his pride and pray that things could go his way so he could make things right. Maybe, in the grand cosmic scheme, someone up there saw that Walt finally wanted to accept responsibility and rid the world of all the horrors he'd created, so he/she/it/they allowed it all to play out as he wanted.

It coulda been the 5th car he tried for all we know, wouldnt really want them to show us all the others he tried but were locked

My take on him shooting Jack wasn't that he didn't care about money at all anymore, but that he cared about killing Jack more at this point - particularly if he could interrupt Jack with a gunshot the way Jack did Hank.

Pretty sure Walt's an atheist. He doesn't believe people have souls, per his flashback with Gretchen. And he's never mentioned God or church once on the show, afaik. Walt only depends on himself. He wouldn't put his faith in a higher power, because that'd mean he's subservient and inferior to that higher power, and his ego won't allow that.

Plus, even if there is a God I doubt one of the miracles he's granting is helping a mass-murdering meth kingpin evade the police so he can kill some more people (even if they are bad).

My point was the car scene didn't bother me and I have heard other people bring it up. Apparently and I'll take these people's words for it in some rural areas people don't all lock their cars and some even just leave their keys hanging in the ignition.

Walt wasn't praying to God, he was praying to Vince Gilligan. It worked, too, he was really lucky!

As I've mentioned before, the only part that bothered me was why was Walt tagged by the gun. It was a machine gun that shot a level spray higher up. Walt gets hit by an isolated bullet, even though he's on the ground. How did that bullet get there? Was it a ricochet shot, because the trajectory of the gun shouldn't have allowed it.

Ricochet would be my preferred explanation. Seeing as a direct hit to the gut from an m60 round would have just shredded walt's organs as well.

Frankly if Jack was indeed hit by one or 2 of the rounds there was no way he should have even been able to speak that well to walt or be able to speak at all..I'll take it he got hit in the legs somehow...

Problem is Jack clearly had bloody wounds on his torso. Maybe he got ricochets too. It's not a good explanation, but the best I can think of.

I don't know it this has been mentioned but Walter White's obituary is in an Albequerque paper tomorrow. I have a pic of it but don't know how to post it from my phone
