Captain Marvel Brie Larson is Captain Marvel!

Wasp's post credit scene costume in the first Ant man is the best Female MCU hero character costume, sadly it seems to have gone MIA for some reason.

Probably because no one had to actually wear it. Sure did make a nice display, though.

I guess I was expecting something a bit more alien and otherworldly but then again, most of the aliens in the MCU wear human clothing anyway. Yondu and the Ravagers wear leather jackets that look like they came from a Macy's mall

not even in the comics the suit looks l Alien , what do you expecting ?

Yeah. I didn't like the change either. New one is far too drab.

She is REALLY breaking that guy's hand :)

The suits are much more practical than say Wonder Woman's outfit. Marvel isn't going with overly-sexualized versions of their heroes' suits since the men's ones aren't either and if they went with impractical, sexier cuts of the uniforms, they'd get a lot flack for doing to their female characters.

Would they? DC didn't. And Marvel practically mandate an arbitrary shirtless scene for all of their male heroes so I don't think a distinctive feminine aesthetic for their female heroes is too much to ask. It's not even like women respond to the mundane unisex approach more positively, far from it. It's Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn that got the traction, not Black Widow or Scarlet Witch. The key is to make it make sense for the character, that's all.

They can be practical, but why do they have to be so bland? It's Marvel's first big female superhero movie and she has to have a costume that looks so generic with ugly colours and a design that seems so overused. Why couldn't she have something more unique instead of it feeling like we've seen all these elements before on Ant-Man, Wasp, Captain America and the Agents of SHIELD?

They're never gonna have their women in anything skimpy, especially in this current era. Now if it was SyFy's Captain Marvel she'd be in a goddamn g-string.

They could've had her in a modification of her original costume, which could've been just a female version of Captain Marvel's classic costume:

Instead of her bare legs showing, she could've had red on her legs like Captain Marvel, making it a full bodysuit.

The dominant colour would've been red, with some blue (or black) parts.

That would've been more interesting than what we got.

Marvel can't seem to steer away from the same design elements they keep using. They even put some of that on Spider-Man's costume with those black lines on his legs.

Red and blue are Mar-Vell's colors though. If the suit in the set photos is a just generic Kree suit, like I suspect it is, then it would make no sense for it to be red and blue.

They'll eventually get it right like with captain america's outfit
Eh, in my opinion they still haven't gotten his costume right, but I digress. :o

Sad to say, that's probably true. Stupid SJWs were apoplectic when the Amazon outfits in Justice League were skimpier than in Wonder Woman, something I didn't even notice. Oh, the horror! Hopefully, as some have said, this is just a baggier version for ease of movement, and it'll be or look more form fitting in the film.

I think this one is nice.

I don't see why we shouldn't see women's thighs.

For the same reason we don't see men's thighs. Notice how the infamous shirtless scenes never last more than a few seconds... I don't recall Captain America going into battle shirtless.

we see WW.

besides, women thighs (and appearance in general) are easier on the eye.

I think they could've covered her thighs and kept it red as a one-piece bodysuit and it still would've looked very similar to that image of her original costume above.

I would even like to see a modified version of the Warbird uniform which I still think is the classic look. I do prefer her original costume though, which is what they used in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Those red and blue colours she wears isn't reminiscent of Captain America even though they are technically the same colour scheme. It's like Spider-Man wears blue and red and he doesn't remind me of Cap either.

I’d rather they just release an official picture. Sure they don’t owe it to anyone but they had to have known that these leaked pictures would be coming.

It's not going to be her final costume anyway, just like the Mark I wasn't Tony's final permanent armor, nor Captain America's USO costume, or Spider-Man's "homemade" look, etc. Plus they usually don't look as good before they're touched up in post.

Also people complain that costumes don't "vary" enough, well Green being the primary color of a costume is something that we haven't really seen before in these films (whereas we have seen a lot of red and blues).

You'd think that fans would learn their lesson about kneejerk whining/pessimism by now, but they never do.

Nobody asked for skimpy as far as I can tell, although Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Psylocke etc. kinda refute that point in any case.

But for the aesthetic of the MCU, those would feel completely out of place. The practicality of those suits for a vigilante/superhero in the MCU would be next to none. You also have to remember that Carol Danvers is someone with a military background, which accounts for her more covered-up look.
