Combine that hair and this suit and I think we've got a winner.

That's a great design. Made with similar materials to Cap's suit I can easily see that standing beside the Avengers.

Just get the headpiece on there and she's ready for business.

That looks too segmented like Iron Man's armour. Or it has those lines like on the blue parts of Spider-Man's costume which I really don't like. I prefer Carol's costume doesn't look like it was designed by the same person who designs all the other MCU costumes.

Disliking the MCU's costumes is a tough and unpopular job, but someone's gotta do it. I still can't help but shake my head every time I look at the new Spidey suit. It was so close to perfection.

I'm still rooting for this one. Screw overdesigned costumes, simpler is better. Always.

Yeah, that's definitely much better. And I want it to look like a costume, not some military uniform. Let her be bold and flashy.

I think it'll be more alien-inspired with the Kree and Mar-Vell's costumes having a distinct kind of look to them, and Carol's costume taking from that rather than some sort of military flightsuit.

What I am saying is it could reflect the KREE military, and the image in question has a high tech feel to it which could easily be something an alien military member would wear. Look at the previous "aliens" we've seen in the MCU so far.

I also just had something occur to me: The Russo's ~accidentally~ confirmed Captain Marvel was in "Infinity War" about 2 months ago, at that Smithsonian event. But at the time, we weren't sure if they meant "Part 1" or not. Now there's only one "Infinity War" (and probably was at that time as well). And it's the movie we formerly knew as "Infinity War: Part 1." Just sayin. t:

I don't doubt for one second that "Carol Danvers" will be in Infinity War. Now, "Captain Marvel" on the other hand... 😉

Yeah, Carol will be there, but I don't think she'll get her powers until the solo film.

I wonder if she'll start working on it this year or if she'll join later in the production. It is a looooong shoot. Crossing my fingers for this year, of course. When we get those first set pics, we're gonna look back on all these silly mask/helmet/costume debates like:

I hope she makes a cameo appearance somewhere before her first full one. I have no idea how she will get her powers and if they will introduce Marv-Ell, but they can tease him and/or the Psyche-Magnitron in a GOTG2 post-credit scene. Carol can then be first seen in either Spidey, Thor or BP

I didn't think we'd see Carol until her solo movie but then the solo movie kept getting pushed back and Brie was cast before a director was hired. I wouldn't be surprised if the Russo's had a lot to do with Brie getting cast, and if that is the case they must have big plans for Carol in the Infinity War storyline in both Avengers movies.

Well, I don't know if it makes sense to retroactively interpret their comments. At the time, there were two Infinity War movies.

Of course you are correct, but the Russo's have been saying the exact same things this "announcement" confirmed for many months now, so it's hard for me NOT to believe they were always referring to this first installment with their statements about "Infinity War."

I wouldn't expect to see Captain Marvel until her movie. I expect to see Carol Danvers in Infinity War (Part 1 to avoid ambiguity.)

Pretty much this. I don't want a female clone copy of Captain America. She was kewl alien powers, for crying out loud. I don't want some generic flight suit, either. A Kree space suit would be a nice compromise between a military and alien look.

Eh. I'm still convinced we won't see Carol until Infinity War. James Gunn has made it clear on numerous occasions that his movie is its own thing and not being used to set up any future films. He's also confirmed that Mar-Vell won't show up, either. I really don't want to see Carol in any of those other films mentioned. It would be a bad move for storytelling. Besides, Carol should be introduced in a film that everyone is going to see. So, Carol should show up in Infinity War first.

how would it be bad storytelling? Quite a few characters debuted elsewhere before their first full appearance. I dont see how having her cameo prior to IW would ruin any narrative that would be told in CM

I agree. I can see Carol debuting in a film before IW. The question is, which one?

It was just announced that Brie's movie Free Fire is closing the BFI London Film Fest in October as its "European Premiere" and will likely be doing the festival circuit elsewhere, so I guess we can expect our first post-Captain Marvel announcement interviews with her in the next couple months (TIFF and Telluride are early next month, for example).

I have watched literally 0 films with Brie Larson, but I guess after that announcement I will have to. Can anyone recommend me quality films with her? I guess I will start with Room, as I read it is highly praised.
